Hello!

I've discovered that when I create a new opportunity under an account,
that opportunity will be shared automatically with the owner of the
account. Is it possible to stop this behavior?

Thanks in advance!

I don;t think t here is a way to stop this. It seems that
Microsoft built the 'feature' of sharing all associated
child records when an account is shared. The only way to
prevent the owner of the account from seeing the
opportunity is to remove privileges for all opportunities.

I have heard that security is one of the big changes for
v2.0. I hope so, anyway!!

Good luck ;)

Have you checked the Opportunity security priviledges for the role the
account manager has - I believe you could set these to user only in which
case would only see the opportunities he/she creates. On the other hand if
you're the account owner you'd pretty much need to be able to see all
opportunities for that account surely?
