I heard that CRM 4.0 has some functionality for the visually impaired. Can
anyone point me in the right direction to find out more about this? Thanks.

Hi Carl;

I think there are a few improvements:

a) Required fields now have an asterisk beside the label to help distinguish
them for people trouble distinguishing between colours.
b) There is a high-contrast setting for each user in Tools-->Options. From
what I understand, this provides a better experience for users when Windows
is running in high-contrast mode.

There may be others, but those are the ones I've seen

Hi David,

We have added following Accessibility features in CRM 4.0 :

1) High Contrast Mode (Tools --> Options --> General Tab --> Enable high
contrast settings)
2) All the Form input elements have <LABEL FOR> to aid in screen readers.
Example: <label for=â??address_idâ??>Address:</label><input id=â??address_idâ?? â?¦>
3) All the Images have a ALT tag (for non text elements)
4) Frames now have a title describing their purpose (stage, navigation, etc.)
5) We moved form old red text "required" (in V3) to the red asterisk (in v4
Titan) gives an image with an alt attribute to describe what it means (and
also helps users who may not have known what red text was â?? the alt text is
visible as a tooltip to everyone).
6) Clickable items have an A href around them to help user to click.
etc.

Thanks!

Manoj
