The server is a win2000 server with MSCRM 1.2 installed, IE 6 sp1 Exchange server has Exchange 2000, and outlook 2002 installed, IE 6 sp1 The XP machine has outlook 2002 installed, sp1, IE 6 sp1 including some bug fixes I can't figure out what i need to update... I know that if your server is exchange 2000 you need outlook 2000, if you have exchange 2003 you need outlook 2003. But they don't say anything about outlook 2002.... Can someone help me?     - import data from sql on a clean install of CRM (new SID) I performed a clean install on a new server but can not import or restore my data from my old crm install because the SIDs are differnt and CRM stops working. What can I do to get data to my new database from the old database. My main goal is to get my accounts and contacts back. Everything else I can recreate. I did consider just making an Account and calling that the â??Projectâ?? and then having â??Child Accountsâ?? as the various companies within the project but that would add a lot of confusion and we would optimally like to separate the â??Projectâ?? (which is not in and of itself a revenue generator) from the Accounts (which are direct revenue generators.) It also allows us to scale upwards more easily as the â??Projectsâ?? can sometimes have 30-39 different accounts associated with them. Finally we would also like to be able to see easily which accounts were associated with a single â??Projectâ?? and vice versa from an Account or a Contact see which â??Projectsâ?? it is associated with. I want to roll out a batch file to make a number of tweaks to CRM The body of it would go REGEDIT /S Kerberosefix.reg REGEDIT /S ForceFormreload.reg REGEDIT /S OutlookFix.reg It would also rename OSA.exe to OSA.bad Remove OSA.exe From the startup menu I need help finding a way to use my batch file to increase the Outlook Form cache from the default 4MB to 50 MB.. This makes CRm more stable and faster for communications. I dont want to manually do this, as it time consuming, are my end users would not be reliable in doing it themselves.     - The server localhost is not responding Need help repair crm install. I had a working CRM and problems began to occur after I tryied deleting a user from crm within web client. I deleted a the user in active directory then attemped in crm but it would not work. I know that was the wrong way to do it. No I am having problems logging in to crm with any user even the admin. When I go into deployment manager to check valid users I get local host is not reponding please contact administrator. If I try from web client the page comes up with error please contact admin. I need to get into my data. All I have is a backup of the SQL Database. I've tried restoring database but I still get an error. When I go to open up the workflow monitor or manager after a fresh install it says: "you do not have sufficient privileges to run the Microsoft CRM workflow monitor" How can I access these two features? I added the computer (which is also the SQL server) to the Windows Pre-compatability group, but I didn't see any other advice on what rights had to be assigned.     - Register crmisapi.dll failed Hi, I'm having a few problems with CRM email. I have installed the router on our Exchange 2000 server which is also running OWA on port 85. I have created a new website for CRM using port 80. I type in the address to the srf file on the exchange server in Internet explorer on the CRM server and get page not displayed. I have followed the steps defined in http://groups.google.com/groups?q=exchange+email+router&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&selm=O3puCy2vDHA.2372%40TK2MSFTNGP09.phx.gbl&rnum=1 but step 9 suggests I should reregister the CRMISAPI.DLL which fails with the message "DllRegisterServer in crmisapi.dll failed. Return code was:0x80004005". Currently when I try to send email from CRM I get "Unexpected Error" Try again/Go Back. Any ideas? I have installed .net framework 1.1 on the CRM Server and am using CRM version 1.2. APart from this email problem, everything else works OK. Thanks.     - CRM doesn't install correctly... I have been trying to install the Microsoft CRM 1.2 and after about 4 different times I'm almost ready to give up. Every time it installs, there is no way to access the workflow monitor or manager. It will give me the message "The server is not responding. This might happen if it is currently unavailable..." When I open the crystal enterprise there is a service in red - the WinHTTP proxy auto-discovery. I'm not sure if that is what is causing all of the problems, but that service has never started in every install. If I try to start it through the services snap-in it will say "The account specified for the service is different from the account specified for other services running in the same process". However, they're all starting and running under the same account. How can I get all the services to start and access to the workflow monitor/manger?     - Custom Forms Hi All, When customizing a form in CRM 1.2 I cant find the way to edit the part of the forms that appear when you save a newly opened case. ie.     - How to restore data from old sql on a clean install of CRM I've locked myself out of my orginal install of CRM instead of trying to fix the problem I made a clean install of my server and CRM.     - "Method not allowed" in Outlook Client Hello, Im trying to make an "add on" for MSCRM 1.2, that should work on an Outlook Client while offline. I try to use Microsoft.CRM.Platform.Proxy.BizUser. It doesn't matter what I try, i get the error "Method not allowed" when I try to ask "objBizUser.WhoAmI". When BizUser.url shows the CRM server, it works. For offline I try to use the services from "http://localhost:2525/mscrmservices". I dont't know how can I see the Address for ".srf" files on the client. It works when I use Microsoft.CRM.Platform.COMProxy, but I think this way is not supported. Does anybody know what can I do?     - CRM and Crystal Reports We have a production environment and a development environment on different servers. we restored the production databases to our development environment. After doing this our Crystal Reports does not work gives the error "Crystal Reports Logon Error - Please verify that you have enought Crystal Licenses". I mean that they put the same word which exists in articles, one sees the search results and the other gets no results. Have you any idea how can I fix this.     - MSSQLServer and SQLServerAgent Service Accounts Hello, I am new to CRM. We have a CRM Server and SQL 2000 Server each on their own piece of hardware. I recently changed the MSSQLServer and SQLServerAgent services to start using a Domain\User. I was able to get the services started and all other programs worked well except for CRM. We were no longer able to get to the CRM Website, and the CRM Security Service would not start. As soon as I set the SQL Services to start using the localsystem account again, everything began working fine.     - How to disable Contract Template window? Hi All, Can we disable the pop up window to select Contract template, which comes up while creating a new contract? That means, whenever we crate a new contract, it always opens a pop up window to select contract template, can we disable that window not to pop up and takes a standard value for contract template? Hi,
I had failed going offline in my Outlook after this following scenario:

- Click the 'Go Offline' button on CRM toolbar in Outlook.
- The 'Offline Configuration' window show, then click the Ok button
- The 'downloading status' progress window show. After the progress, My
outlook
still in online mode(It was still 'Go Offline' button in my CRM toolbar)
- Click the 'Go Offline' button again, got the same 'Offline Configuration'
window &
after that the same 'downloading status' progress window.
- After the progress, the 'Go offline' button change into 'Go Online' button
- Try click one of the CRM folder (ex. quotes,leads,products,etc),
get "Metadata Cache Error, no entity" message error

I suspect the progess bar session was containing important message that I
missed.
Cos I think I read this message in the progress window,
"initial snapshot.......
crm metadata .....is not available"
Any help will be appreciated. Thank you

finally my SFO can go offline & go online after some uninstall & reinstall
the SFO.
I guess there are errors in my first sfo installation. So I think I have to
uninstall & reinstall the SFO to get the fine installation so my SFO can go
offline & go online without error
