Hi all,
I'm trying to install CRM 1.2 on Windows Server 2003. I have the following
prerequesites :

*Internet Information Services (IIS) installed and the services started.
*Windows Indexing Service started on the installation computer.
*Microsoft Message Queuing Service installed as a Message Queuing Server
and started.
*Active Directory® in native mode.
*Microsoft XML Core Services (MSXML) 4.0 installed.
*The SQL Server service and SQL Server Agent started on the SQL Server
computer (which is different than CRM) (Sql2000+Sp3a).

The error I'm getting, just after having selected the SQL Server to use, is
:
"L'indexation de texte intégral doit être active sur le serveur SQL Server
spécifié", which means : "Integral text indexation must be active on the
specified SQL Server". I verified and both SQL services are running on the
SQL computer.

Someone has an idea of what is going on?
Thanks in advance for any suggestion.
Mathieu Cloutier, Quebec city, Canada.

SQL Server 2000 full-text indexing depends on the Microsoft Search service.
Check that it is running and that it has permissions to write to the index
store on the file system.

Microsoft Search Service? What is this? I've never heard of it...
Indexing Services are started on both machine (SQL Server and CRM Server)...
Thanks in advance!
Mathieu.

The full-text engine runs as a service named Microsoft Search on Microsoft
Windows NT® or Microsoft Windows® 2000. It is installed when the Full-Text
Search feature is selected during custom installation:

Thanks for this usefull information!
As far as I can see in the server here, this service was not installed when
SQL Server was installed. Another question, will the service name be the
same, Microsoft Search, on a Windows Server 2003 machine?
Thanks again for you help!
Mathieu.

I think the application/service name is MSSearch.exe.
It is the same service that SharePoint Portal Server 2003 uses for its
indexing and searching mechanism.

Any idea?

Yes, it is.
I tried to stop every SQL service and launch CRM installation. I, obviously,
got an error saying it was unable to connect the SQL Server. I restarted all
services (including MS Search) and got the same error again. So the
installation program is able to ping and connect to the SQL Server.

Does the MS Search service has to have the "Log on as" setting equal to the
other SQL services?
Thanks guys for your help!
Mathieu.
