    - Entity Type Partylist I see that when creating an entity there are several options - none of which is "Partylist" which, for example is used on the appointment form, for field "Required" a user can make multiple choices from multiple entities.     - Outlook Synchronization Error CRM contacts are not synching with Outlook for a user who just received a new computer. The error says "The Synchronization process cannot be run on this computer. Only on client computer per user can run this process . . . To change the Synchronizing client, on the CRM menu, click Options, and click Synchronizing Tab" After checking the box for "Set this computer to be the Synchronizing client" we get the error "An Error has occurred.     - Parent Account and ActiveSync When the CRM client for outlook synchronizes with Outlook contacts it doesn't update the Company field in a contact but instead downloads the "Parent Account". Has anyone succeeded in getting the Parent Account synchronized into their mobile phone using ActiveSync. When I look at my CRM contacts on my phone I have no company information.     - Contract disappears upon selection of Contractdetail When users select an account with a valid (active) contract, contractdetail becomes red (required) and the formassistant comes up with the contractdetail. Selecting this contractdetail sometimes does te following: it fills the contractdetail-field, clears the contract-field and IE gives an error like: Line: 216 Character: 1 Error: this property or method is not supported by this object Code: 0 URL: http://crm/cs/cases/edit.aspx Any idea how this can happen?     - Case 'Actual Duration' not getting updated in SQL Knowledge Base article 913391: The "Actual Duration" field displays an incorrect value when you view the "Resolve Case" dialog box in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 This article corrects the time when you resolve a case by adding some script to an onsave event. Here is where it doesnt work: Lets say you go back and change the time from 2 hours to 4 hours on a Service Appointment. The form shows your updated time by running the onsave event but when you resolve the case, you original time displays and not the updated time. I looked in SQL and the ActualDuration and ScheduledDuration do not match. While the form is getting updated with a script, the database is not - making our billable time off! The program (c:\programfiles\microsoftoffical\office11\outlook.exe) caused a problem and is going to to close: would you like to save a dump file?     - Prompted to authenticate Frustrating issue... I can launch CRM and not be prompted to authenticate until I open an Account. At that point it wants my credentials. When I go to any other entity/area in CRM its ok. If I look at the bottom of the Internet Explorer window when an Account is open, it says Unknown Zone(Mixed). Ive added the website/hostname/IP address of the CRM Server to the local intranet and trusted sites but nothing seems to work. Anyone run in to this or have any ideas?     - Missing New button on Address entity customization Greetings. I'm implementing MS CRM 3.0 at my organization and am currently going through to spruce up the default views in the app. When I go to Settings -> Customizations -> Customize Entities -> Addresses, there is no New button from which to make new views.     - Outlook Crashing Repeatedly with CRM Users Outlook 2003 SP2. Updated to most recent updates. CRM 3.0. Outlook is crashing, it can be reproduced by opening an email linked to CRM, then closing the message, then reopening it. Closing it the second time crashes Outlook every single time.     - Adding deposit to Subtotal??? Recently posted a transaction for a customer in GP 8.0. The customer's balance on their Card ADDED the deposit to the subtotal on the invoice. So instead of showing the correct A/R of $200, it shows they owe $400. The invoice was for $300 with a $100 deposit. (Don't worry, we didnt' enter a negative deposit. If that's possible anyways). The actual invoice and distribution accts are correct as is the G/L. The problem only shows in the Customer's card and the A/R Trial Balance. Any help is appreciated. Thanks so much!     - GP 8.0 budget ID setup window I'm attempting to create a dedicated PO for a Back Ordered item. (We're basically rearranging our entire process for order entry/ processing/ invoicing because our inventory couldn't be more incorrect and continues to get worse). The PO is created and saved. When I go into Purchase Order Entry Window and attempt to view/ re-save the document, it gives me the message. "There is no budget ID setup for this fiscal period. Please assign a budget ID using the PO Enhancements Setup Window." We don't need to budget for this item and we haven't set up any budgeting for GP. We don't manfacture it and we are basically a resaler of the item. We just need it to go into inventory, fullfill the order, and go back out through COGS. I've read the manuals and looked in the help windows but it hasn't been very helpful. I work on the SOP side of things and don't usually touch the inventory piece so I'm kinda new.     - Goldmine To CRM 3.0 Migration w/ Scribe missed active accounts? I went through all the steps for the migration from Goldmine 6.5 Corporate to CRM 3.0 Pro. Got most of the accounts moved over, but for some weird reason, i dont see any of our active accounts??     - Mannually removing CRM Sales for Outlook We use windows Profiles, and have encountered the following problem with CRM Sales for Outlook. We've a user who had CRM sales for outlook installed on their system. They then left the company and returned a bit later. During the interval, we removed CRM sales for Outlook from all our systems. When this person returned they were given a new PC. Now everytime they start up Outlook, they receive the following error: "ActiveX component can't create object: "crmaddin.UIUtil" Line No:2. I've re-installed the product and de-installed it to no avail. There is no crmaddin listed in the com-addins under Outlook, and I've removed two registery entries from their system which refer to CRM. Anyone any ideas whatelse I can do, or know how to manually strip off Sales for Outlook. from a system. The version that was orgionally installed was 1.2 - the version of Outlook is 2003.     - CRM REPORTS Hi everyone. I've created reports using Reporting Services. I then imported these reports into CRM as part of a CRM development for a client. The client accesses our CRM website through the internet, using an ip address. They are then prompted for their credentials, which they then enter. They can successfully enter CRM, but cannot access our custom reports, however, they can access the standard CRM reports. I've successfully accessed CRM and the reports via the internet, using their credentials. Basically, I can access everything from my side, but they can only access CRM and not the (custom) reports from their side. What could the problem be? Your help will be highly appreciated. Hi there, we have found some XML files on desktops running online/offline outlook client, we want to know what they are being used for and whether we can change the path for storing these files. The size of these files varies depending on the size of data base and the issue is that some of our client have strict profile limit for the user. Having these files by default in the user profile is not idea for us and if possible want to change the location of these files. The location of these files are as shown below.     - Non Domain Users in CRM?? Is it possible to have non domain users in CRM? The reason i ask, is because we just went to an Active Directory Domain last March, and made the change from Novell and Lotus Notes, to AD and Exchange. I have allot of users who arent actually using the domain, and log into thier local machine. they have accounts in the AD for Exchange, and other stuff, but they will not want to be forced over to the daomain for this program.... any ideas?     - ACT! data migration problems We are using Scribe and their ACT! template to migrate data into MSCRM. We are doing something wrong, because each contact record is creating a new account record, instead of the contacts from the same company being added to a single account record.     - Emails in system mailbox, not in queue Hi There, I have set up a queue for a support team and deployed a rule for it through the rule deployment wizard. Emails sent to the support address are arriving in the mailbox in exchange, but there are no copies of the emails in the queue. What I have done so far: - Support account and email already existed in AD, set SELF to have full rights and Associated External Account - Added CRM server and Exchange server and granted full mailbox access. - Ensured CRM system mailbox is in PrivUserGroup as well as crm and exchange server - Created support queue in crm with support email address, me as owner and parent business unit. - Ran rule deployment wizard using crm system email address used to install the exchange router, and deployed rule to the support account. Sent emails to support email address, they arrive in the exchange mailbox but do not arrive in the support queue. There are no errors in the event viewer. Any ideas on what could be the cause of the problem? Getting a lot of pressure to have this resolved asap, so any help would be greatly appreciated.     - Converting Leads to Opportunities in CRM 3.0 (changes since CRM 1.2?) We are in the process of upgrading from CRM 1.2 to CRM 3.0. In 1.2 we were able to convert Leads to only Opportunities. However, in 3.0 it appears that you must also convert the Lead to an Account or Contact as well (i.e. after clicking on the Convert Lead button, if you select only the Opportunity checkbox, the OK button is disabled, however, if you also select either Account or Contact, the OK button becomes enabled).     - Default Web Site What is the significance of the Default Web Site? When should one choose to install to the Default Web Site vs. creating a New Web Site for the CRM 3.0 deployment? This is a CRM 3.0 Professional installation on a member server (Web Server) in an SBS 2003 environment. I just noticed in the Implementation Guide, when installing on an SBS box: "Do not install Microsoft CRM to the default Web site." When installing on a Windows Server (member Web Server, for me) it says: on the Select Web Site Page, select a Web site from the Web site list. Or select the Create New Web Site option and setup will create a new Web site for Microsoft CRM Server. I did install to the default Web Site on the member server, and it is working fine. But I may want to change this URL when I go to make it Web-accessible from the external Internet. Is it easy enough to change your CRM Web Site (URL) at a later date?     - Upgrade Path - CRM 3.0 SBE to CRM 3.0 Pro I wanted to move my CRM Server to a Web Server, off of the SBS 2003 machine. I accomplished this using CRM 3.0 Professional. Now I would like to re-import my customizations and my data. I'm just thinking out loud, but here is what I would presume the requirements to be for this: 1. Uninstall the CRM 3.0 SBE Server from the SBS 2003 machine (after backing everything up) 2. Delete the Existing CRM 3.0 / SQL 2005 Database 3. Install CRM 3.0 Pro on Web Server (Windows 2003 R2 Member Server) with the Same Organization Name 4. Import the Customizations 5. Restore the Database Like I said, I have "accomplished" the main goal of installing the CRM 3.0 Pro application on the Web Server, but I ran into a problem installing with same organization name. I think this might have been because I didn't do Step 2 -- delete the SQL database first. So I installed with a different organizaton name to later find it unable to import customizations or restore data. I would like to go back and try again, but I'm nervous about wasting a lot of time if either Step 3, 4, or 5 won't work. I'm worried that it will not be possible to import the SBE customizations / data into the Pro version. (I'm sure it doesn't work if you don't have the same organization name!)
