Hi everybody,

We are using CRM 3.0 and we need to use the sales pipeline report but for
some reason the sales stage axis of the chart is blank and is displayed as
"not specified" on the diagram. We have defined the sales stages already and
we have assigned sales stages for each opportunity record we have in CRM. Do
we have to creare a sales process in order to use this report? Currently we
do not have a sales process configured. I though that might be the reason why
the report is not displayed properly. I have read the previous postings about
this subject but there wasn't a clear answer for this problem.
Thanks in advance!

Isil

Hi Isil,
Yes - the Sales Pipeline Report is based off of the Sales Processes.

Manisha-

Thanks for the quick response. Actually , I have another question about the
same report. When we drill down on the chart it opens an "opportunity list" .
is there a way to customize this view. I need to add extra columns to that
list.

Thank you again!!

Hi Isil,
To customize the report, you could use Visual Studio add-in for SRS reports.
You could export the sales pipeline report (.rdl) file onto your local
machine, update it and upload it back to the server - provided you have
appropriate permissions.

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/CrmSdk3_0/htm/v3d0reportwritersguide.asp
might be helpful.

Manisha,

I know that is the method for customizing reports but when I import a report
to Visual studio, it only allows me to modify the main sales pipeline report.
However on the actual report when you double click on the diagram in the
report, it also opens up an opportunity list. So i couldn't figure out how to
modify this list, in other words how to add extra columns to that list.

Thanks again!!!!

Hi Isil, My apologies for not clarifying. Sales Pipeline report has a
subreport that shows the details. It's the "Sales Pipeline Detail" report.
In the UI you'll find it under "Hidden Reports" Category in the Reports
section. On the server it will be under \Program Files\Microsoft
CRM\Reports\MSCRM. Please make sure that the original reports are backed up
well..

Microsoft have released reports based on the salestagecode which you have set
up. The report is very similar to the layout in the V1.2 Crystal version. Go
to:-

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/sql/2000/downloads/reporting.mspx

Download the SQL Server 2000 CRM reports pack.

No need to run the installer. unzip the pipeline reports and upload into CRM
form the reports page using the new reports button.

Note the default is for the current user. If you want the sales pipeline for
every user summarised edit the filter.
