Hello,

On a client computer, in IE when I click Reports I get the following:
"Microsoft Error
An error has occurred. for more information, contact your system
administrator.
Try Again or Cancel"

Click Try Again. same error.

On the server, in IE when I click Reports I get the following:
"Microsoft Error
An error has occurred. for more information, contact your system
administrator.
Try Again or Close"

Click Try Again. same error. Click Close and the IE tab with CRM closes.

This is a new installation. We have CRM, SQL, Exchage installed on the same
SBS box.

I am not that techie. any ideas?

thanks,
Michael

Do me a favor if you can.

Open up IIS -> Via Administrative Tools and expand the website which
Reporting Sevice is under.

You should see a "Reports" folder. Can you right click on it and hit browse?

Let me know if you get any errors.

Hello Aliuar,

the SQL Server Reporting Services page opens with nothing on it. the header
SQL Server Reporting Services, Home, Help is displayed

I can browse the Report Server page. I see <dir> teamreba_mscrm. if I click
on teamreba_mscrm, a list of reports is displayed. If I click on a report,
the report is displayed with no data as we have no data at this time.

cheers,
Michael

Hello Ian,

I am not sure that I have. I heard something about it. I looked in the Help
File for publishing reports. nothing specific comes up. the help file
references....For troubleshooting when reports don't work after initial
Microsoft CRM setup, see "Troubleshooting reporting setup in Microsoft
Dynamics CRM 3.0". when I click on "Troubleshooting reporting setup in
Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0" it takes me to a web page
http://www.microsoft.com/dynamics/crm/default.mspx which doesn't display
anything about reporting setup. not helpful. I have been unsuccessful at
finding the report publishing instructions.

cheers,
Michael

Re: Reports Error by Ian

Ian

ok no worries, try this:

this is the command you need to get your head round....

C:\Program Files\Microsoft CRM\Reports>publishreports.exe "Your Org"
"Domain\ReportingGroup {GUID}" "NT AUTHORITY\NetworkService"

so first make sure you are in the right location, run a command prompt and
go to the location of your default reports location (this is installed with
CRM) it will contain the "publishreports.exe"

you need to go to this location and run it followed by your organization
name that was installed by for CRM which i think for you is "teamreba_mscrm"

then you need to got to you active directory and find the CRM group and more
specifically the CRM reporting group and type the whole GUID number (just
copy and paste along with the doamin then stick NT AUTHORITY\NetworkService
at the end...

if you typed it all correctly the list of reports will start to run down the
dos page

Let me know if these instructions make sense...
