    - Problems filling data into custom field on Account form I'm having some problems appending a value to a field by using Javascript in ONLOAD on the Account form. In a custom form I've created, however, I don't have that problem. In that form I use this simple code in ONLOAD, and it works fine: crmForm.all.fieldname.DataValue = 'TEXT'; In the Account form however, in ONLOAD I try to fill a custom field with some text using exactly the same code, but it doesn't work - the field remains empty. I have admin rights, so I guess that's not the problems. Both fields are "nvarchar>text". I hope there's a simple solution to my problem.     - Source code of MS CRM Hi all, I have installed MS CRM 3.0 server on my server machine. I just wanted to know that whether this installation provides me the COMPLETE source code of CRM? There are some aspx files, but there is a little source code in them. If I want to change something in the application beyond the limits of customization, how can I do that?     - CDF Import of Invoice Detail I have successfully migrated, Products, Price Lists, Subjects, UOM and UOM Schedule and Invoice. The Invoice Details will just not Migrate, I have checked out all the mappings and they apprear correct. Is there anyone out there who has had a similar problem and found the answer.     - Help: Need tool to monitor crm web service All, We currently have CRM 3.0 and using a program called Zfirm Omnirush. I have been trying to this working but have encountered some errors and have worked with Zfirm to try to resolve. They mention that the issue might be something related to the CRM Web service.     - Titan Workflow Hi guys, So I'm playing around with the new Workflow manager, and aside from being blown away by all the wonderfull new functionality, I discovered a new Condition that I haven't seen before (even in the Advanced Find), which is the "Not In". So you have "Enitity" "Field" "Not In" and then a Value box. Can someone help me understand this a little better? I can't imagine it's related to T-SQL's NOT IN, but if so, how is this different than "Does not contain"? I'm having a blast with the new WF but I just can't wrap my head around this one...     - Newbie Question re: Primary Account Contact I'm entering our live clients into CRM in preparation to going live. Part of this process is combining data held in multiple systems into a single "definitive" dataset in CRM. When entering an account, I select the primary contact from the contacts. When I view this contact in Contacts, the Parent ID is blank. I've linked the contact to the Account by setting the Parent ID. However, when I run an Account Summary report, the Primary Contact is listed both as a Primary Contact as well as an additional contact. Is this default behaviour or should I not link the Contact to the Parent ID, just leave the Account with the Primary Contact.     - Email Sent from Workflow tracked twice in history I have a workflow that sends an email to two CRM users. After the email arrives in the two users' inboxes, there are 2 history activities created for the email - one owned by the id we use for email routing, the other owned by the person who fired the rule.     - Cannot connect to the server, using server name I have a machine running V3C desktop client with KB927751 patch installed. This machine can ping the CRM server and can reach it via IP address, but cannot connect via the server name. It can reach other intranet servers with just their names, and can reach the server via web access and IP and log in, using the tool that way, but as installed in Outlook with the server name, it will not connect. I've checked all pop-up blockers and none are active, and added it as a trusted site. I have many other machines running fine, both other desktops and laptops. Any other ideas? r/ A.     - Can the CRM Laptop Client be setup to automatically synchronize? When the user goes out of the office with his/her laptop the, the crm laptop client is offline.     - Service Module and Dispatch I am looking at the CRM service module for dispatch type application. The user need is for the client to call to a call center, and based on their issue lookup for the closest service provider (who is also an account in CRM- NOT a user) based on service provider ranking, and send the service provider out to the client. At this point the case should be assigned to a queue. The service provider will update and close the case via access to a â??Service Provider Portalâ??. Based on work flows cases that fall behind will be flagged. Questions: Can we do a daily import from CRM for the different service provider and ranking to MapPoint? Can we search for available service provider from case, while it is initiated in Mappoint based on distance and ranking? Call volume is around 3,000 a day, 7 days a week. Any â??best practicesâ?? Meaning can I set them up as business units as segment their access to data based on the business units they belong to? Is it possible to import data based on business unit?     - onLoad User Error Message I created a onLoad event on the Account entity that hides a few tabs and along with the navigation icons ("Services" and Marketing").     - Odd behaviour Hi, I have a problem when running Outlook and the Web front-end at the same time on the same PC. The manifestation of this is that if Outlook is running (connected to CRM, no problem) then whenever I load IE and connect to CRM I lose the Settings "tab" (but still have Marketing,Sales,Service,Workplace). Unload Outlook and IE, then just run up IE and I get the Settings tab back!     - Createdon Timezone query We are utilising CRM to send auto updates on open CRM cases and also recording these updates within the CRM case, as part of this we are including the 'createdon' entry. The only problem is that this generates an entry that lists the following: Created on: 10/10/2007 4:20 AM (GMT-08:00) Pacific Time (US & Canada); Tijuana Now the case was actually created 10/10/2007 PM (GMT +08:00) Perth. The servers are set correctly, the Users PC is set correctly, and the timestamp for the actual record is set correctly as: 10/10/2007 7:20 PM by System, Administrator As we are using the 'createdon' to show when a case was created, it is important to our clients that the correct time be represented.     - All Contacts view customization Hi, We have a requirement where I need to allow users to make selected contacts private to them. We came up with a design which would add a "Private" attribute to the Contact entity and set the private flag, if the user does not want others to see this contact's details. However, in the All Contacts view, the record will be available to others users as well, which should not be the case.     - Campaign Response Import Has anyone tried to import Campaign Responses? This might be useful to me, but I cannot make it work. When I try, one of the required Target Fields is "Parent Campaign" (a lookup field). Attempting to import text data to this field fails ( as I would expect). I have seen some threads indicating that you can do an import and assoicate the imported records with an entity using the GUID of the target entity or entities, but I am not that slick in SQL and was hoping for an easier way.     - Setting crm service credentials Hi, right now when closing a case, we are getting the credentials from an xml file, using always the same username and password, therefore all incidents are being closed by the same username. Right now i'm trying to fix this problem, but the default credentials are always empty. Basically what i'm doing is i'm calling a web service from javascript, and then the webservice calls another external method where the funcionality is being performed. indetity impersonate is set to true in web.config of the web service, windows authentication enabled. From the iis i'm also only enabling windows authentication. Any idea why the default credentials are empty? any help would be greatly appreciated.     - Advanced Find Export to Excel We have an Advanced Find that was created that has more than 10,000 records being returned. When we try to export the find into an excel spreadsheet, only 10,000 of the records appear even though we chose to export the results on all pages. Is this a limitation of CRM 3.0?     - Microsoft CRM 3.0 Works Fine But... I am trying to find a SQL person to help with a problem. Somehow, and I am not exactly sure how it happened, the "sysft_ftcat_documentindex" SQL file for my MSCRM data base got separated from the other SQL data base and log files and was placed on a separate drive which failed and had to be replaced. I did not have a backup of that file. As I was saying, Microsoft CRM works fine but I cannot do a full SQL database backup because that file does not exist. I can do a partial data base backup but I would like to do a full data base backup. Also, everytime the server is rebooted I lose my CRM METABASE data base and that has to be restored from a backup. Is there any way through SQL that "sysft_ftcat_documentindex" can be recreated and if so how? Thanks.     - Iframe problem I created an Iframe that loads an external website on the account form. When opening an account the user is prompted to authenticate. I am passing variables to Iframe and the iframe page works fine if I click cancel. The authentication is triggered by crm not the iframe page.     - SQL UpdateTrigger allowed? Hi, I did some customizing till now onto our CRM 3.0 and also added some livemaps within an iFrame as it could be found in some examples araound the web. Everthing works quite fine (as good as livemaps can find our european cities |-)) But the bad things is (by design of the adapted example) that if livemaps finds anything it stores the values in longitude / letitude values in the table. ok. Since than it always picks up those values for display without checking if the adress stored in CRM fits to it. Thats generally great, because its much faster than always search for the adress. Now I want to delete this values in the table if someone changed the adress so my livemap iframe goes again searching for the new adress. For me it looks like as it would be the easiest way to make a uptade-trigger within SQL for the adress1_street to look for and if it changes set longitude... to NULL which would force my iFrame to search for the coordinates again. Would that be an allowed procedure within CRM.     - Changing attribute in account record depending on Opportunity num Hello, I added some relationship types for account entity (prospect, pending prospect). Pending prospect means prospect with no opportunities. I want to control this value on opportunity close event.     - quick campaigns and custom entities Hi, Is there any possibility to create an email activity for several contacts regarding a custom entity record: e.g. you have a list of vehicules and you like to send an email to some of your customers (system/personal view, since they need to have certain conditions before they can be notified about a certain sale) to notify them about the sale of one of the vehicules: options I considered: - relate quick campaigns to a custom entity --> seems not possible since quick campaign = non-customizable system entity --> is there a workaround? - you should be able to change the "regarding" field when creating emails via quick campaigns, so you can directly relate the email to the vehicule --> is there any possbility? - from the vehicule record I could send an email; but the problem is that I can't make a selection of the customers I would like to mail based on certain conditions (values on the customer records) Does anyone know a good option to handle this? On selection of a specific price list in Quote/Order/Invoice the product look
up
is expected to show only those products which are present in that specific
price
list.

But the system pops up all the products for which a default price list is
defined,
irrespective of whether the product is part of the specified price list or
not.
