I have carefully followed the CDF documentation regarding the mandatory
fields yet all my products in the CDF are being rejected.

The listed mandatory fields are simply:
Product ID (int)
ProductName (char)
ProductNumber (char)

I am also setting the StatusCodeName and StateCodeName fields to 'Active'

I wonder whether in fact other fields are required - eg. Unit Group?

All suggestions gratefully received!

I know that other data migration tools cannot give you access to StateCode
fields. In anycase, you need not set the values of these fields as "Active"
is the default value anyway.

Thanks for this - you're right about the state/status codes not being
required. Actually I don't think this is the problem as I'd already tried
importing without these.

Looking at the Product CRM form you must provide a unit group (UoMSchedule)
and unit (UoM) so my hunch is these maybe required too? You can also get some
clues by examining the cdf table schemas in SQL Enterprise Manager.

I have decided go the whole hog and recreate all the CRM product catalogue
entities in CDF. This will enable me to set a default price list on the
orders and accounts I am importing.

If anyone who has succesfully imported a complete product catalog sees this,
I'd love a few tips starting with: is the CDF documentation correct?
