Hey,

When opening Account or any other entity for the first time from the Outlook
online client takes a while, sometimes more than a minute. After the records
loaded the response of CRM is normal.

Does anyone has an idea how to solve this?

Thx.

Hi Mirella,

Have you tried in the Web Browser to open CRM for the first time, is
it taking a long time as well? It might have to do with you server
environment and also related to caching.

Hi Darren,

Thx for you response. The Web client is much faster than the Outlook online
client.

Kind regards,
Mirella

Hey Darren,

I just tried the web client again, and the response is the same as in the
Outlook client (Now, I did not try the outlook client first). It doesnot
matter which record type you try. The first time is slow, after you opened
one record type all the others perform as they should.

Thanks for you help !!

Hi Mirella,

This is a common problem to have for the first time you start up the
application. I believed it's the IIS caching related to your server.
May be your can have your IT team check out the performance tunning
white paper from Microsoft might help. It's for Microsoft CRM 3.0, but
you can do pretty much the same tuning for CRM 4.0.

Mirella,

Check to see if those PCs have the Google Desktop app running. We found
this to be the problem as Google was trying to catalog the CRM server that
first hit.

Once we turned it off (couldn't figure out how to exclude the CRM site only)
it was back to normal.

Good luck,

Tom Francisco
