    - Mail merge template not saving settings I have created a mail merge template for our labels. I have marked the option to always print the country as well as re-mapped a couple fields. I applied these to all the address blocks. When I re-use this template, those settings are gone and I can only update the first label to add country and re-map as there is now no "update all labels" when using a template.     - isDirty attribute hello everyone, I'm working with crm 3.0 and got the following issue. I have some fields that are disabled for the user, but are showing data calculated from other fields. When I save the form I enable them, otherwise they would not be saved. That works fine when the user uses the Save & Close button. But when the user click on the Save button and he hasn't made any changes, the disabled fields become enabled. I've been trying to workaround this problem, but with no result. I tried to use the OnLoad event to disable the fields everytime, but when the Save button is clicked the OnLoad event doesn't trigger. I tried to modify a fields value and return it back to its original value to get that field isDirty attribute to true, but that didn't work either.     - CRM, Outlook and Cookies My office is currently running a CRM 3.0 Professional install and I have successfuly installed the CRM client for Outlook on a CSR's system, but when I open Outlook I am getting the following error: "Your Web browser options are currently set to disable cookies. Microsoft CRM requires cookies to use the Web client. To enable cookies, see the online Help for your browser" On this users system I have enabled all cookies in their IE properties and the CRM server is listed in their Local Intranet zone. At this point, IE is set to the lowest possible settings and Outlook is still throwing this error out at me. I have two systems that the CRM client is currently working successfuly on and I can find no difference between their browser settings and this problem install before lowering it's security levels. I'm unsure as to what the next steps should be for troubleshooting this issue. Any help?     - Email to Case Email->Description Formatting Ok, interesting problem here. I have written a Workflow that creates a service request from an email that is sent into the Q. THis is working great. One big problem is the formatting of the text of the message if the email has been sent formatted in HTML. When I send this to the description field in the Service Request, I get all the HTML formatting and the email is difficult to read. My preference would be to keep this formatting, but the description box is not html enables. That leaves me with getting just the plain text out of this and sending it.     - Sync Issues - outlook 2007 Ok, I've seen other people run into this, but it seems no-one has an answer to it: Symptoms: Your "Sync Issues" starts getting clogged with entries named "Synchronization Log" and with an error description "Error synchronizing message...". It happens whenever somebody else starts creating appointments and and uses the "track in crm". You get it every time your outlook tries to sync. with the Exchange server; on my laptop, around 2 mails/minute. You also get a copy of the calendar entry in the "Local Failures", virtually doubleing the number of entries. Last time i reviewed my Sync Issues folders, I had more than 100.000+ emails, causing Outlook to perform slowly (problem with large PST files). I'm using: - Outlook 2007 - Exchange 2003 - MS CRM 3.0 How to reproduce: Create calendar entry in your outlook 2007. When entry is open, click "track in CRM" and "Set regarding".     - Email Tracking We're having problems with inbound email not tracking in CRM. I've verified out setup based on the implementation guide (install location, server side rule, users set to accept all unsolicited emails, etc...) and inbound emails don't get tracked in CRM. We have tracking tokens off. When I log into the CRM mailbox, the majority (99%) of the emails forwarded end up in unresolved. Anyone else having problems with inbound email tracking?     - MS Outlook toolbar does not have CRM toolbar installed I have a user running on a XPSP2 machine with Outlook 2K3 with CRM 3 installed. The CRM install is for online only. Recently, the ability to 'track in CRM' has not been functioning. After looking at the laptop myself, the CRM toolbar is enabled however nothing in CRM is functioning. It will highlight as you move the cursor over the different buttons but nothing responds. All updates have been installed and there is only one patch for CRM installed, KB913270.     - Design question - millions of records pushed against 'product'? A general design question - I'm working with a web search/aggregator company that generates millions of chargeable click events/month - say between $.10 and $1.00 per click, i.e., non-trivial valua. Each click is generated by a customer ad campaign that is defined in CRM. (Btw, I'm new to Dynamics CRM - but have worked with multiple other CRM platforms.) At present, in the last architecture we took these into a 'warehouse' and then built extracts on a monthly basis to take to Dynamics for invoicing - a very manual process. One idea going forward (with Dynamics CRM in the picture) is to take this click stream and map it back directly to the campaign (or 'product' in CRM) on a regular basis. This would allow direct access to campaign/product performance and much easier invoicing - and also future BI potential as well... 1) Any scalability problems with pushing millions of records/month into Dynamics accounting/CRM?     - Appoint Synch Question We have User A enter in appointments through CRM for User B. Once the sync occurs and User B is in Outlook, the appointments appear on User B's outlook calendar. We have an issue though when User B is out of the office and User A schedules an appointment for them. User A usually checks User B's Outlook calendar prior to scheduling appointments. If User B isn't online, then User A cannot see the appointments that have been recently scheduled for User B and proceeds to add an appointment for a time slot that may already be reserved. Is there anyway around this issue? Is there a way to synch the Outlook calendar behind the scenes for a user that isn't currenlty online? We are not using the Go Offline feature.     - Upgrade to Office 2k3 breaks the laptop version of CRM We are currently upgrading from Office 2k2 to 2k3, when the installation of Office 2k3 is completed and the machine has been restarted CRM no longer functions, toolbar and menu item are disabled and no folders for CRM are accessible. We ran a repair which has fixed the Desktop client, unfortunately this does not work with the laptop client. On the two laptops we have upgraded so far it throws up the following error when you try to repair CRM: Could not locate the microsoft.crm.metadatahelper.dll file verify that everyone has read access to this file on the source disk. The only solution we can find at the moment is to uninstall everything related to CRM, remove the CRM databases etc and then reinstall CRM, this would abviously be nice to avoid as we have around 100 laptops to do. Is it really so that when a user wants to manually track incoming mails in CRM by "Track in CRM" button, the original date of the message is not stored in CRM? When you want to lookup records for example in the advanced find you get a dialog where you have a searchbox at the top and two listboxes where you can select and deselect items. In german, this dialog has the title "DatensÃ¤tze nachschlagen". You can customize the view of the left listbox with the view "search view" (in german "Suchansicht") of the desired entity. There you can define the display order of the columns, the columns you can search in and the sort order. But in this dialog, CRM only minds the display order of this view. it ignores the columns you can search in and the sort order. CRM f.e. only lets you search in the first column shown. it also doesn't show any scrollbars so if you want to show more infos here, it's impossible. I'm not 100 percent sure, but a collegue of mine also told me, that this dialog also doesn't resolve lookup-fields, if you want them to show up in this listbox. It only shows the GUID as plain text. I have one install were Outlook won't open links from crm. When I click view
regarding in Outlook screen flashes, but nothing happens. On task manager I
see that IEXPLORER.EXE starts and closes. Webclient works just fine. What
could close internet explorer automatically when I try to open links from
Outlook.

HI,
it's usually the work of a popup blocker. try to disable it.
