I have bee using the beta version of Outlook 2003 with
BCM.
I'm appalled by the miserable state of documentation for
this otherwise excellent product.

I have been thrashing around for ages to find a good
solution for the function of a BCM (like Goldmine and Act
and most recently Outlook BCM)
So far, I like Outlook BCM, but I can't find any
information about how to backup the data.
I use the ridiculously heavyhanded method of backup for
just Outlook (not BCM) of just making copies of the whole
outlook.pst file. But I don't think that backs up the BCM
data.
Does anyone know?
Does anyone know if it is possible to actually
sychnronize Outlook BCM data between two computers?
I understand there is an automatic synching mechanism for
Outlook itself that involves using ost instead of pst
files, and may involve using MS Exchange, but as usual, I
find myself operating in the MS universe on the basis of
rumor rather than actual documentation... so I haven;t
figured that one out yet.
Thanks - Frank

Frank,

You're right, backing up the .pst doesn't backup the BCM data.

You can back up your data doing the following:

File --> Business Database --> Backup

select where you want it backed up to, and you'll have copied the database

I'd suggest doing this at least weekly.
