    - 1.2 to 3.0 upgrade issues CRM not fully functional after upgrade, it seems like it is a permissions issue, possibly SQL user/login permissions? Certain categories such as KNowledge Base will load fine in the browser, however others like "Accounts" will not, and return the "an error has occurred, contact your system administrator" error message. I reviewed the IIS logs and they are showing 401 errors. When trying to verify licenses using Deployment manager (user manager) i get a http://crm/MSCRMServices/ is not responding error. When running the CRM Environment Diagnostics Wizard i receive the following errors: Job DBName_MSCRM.Update COntract States could not be found in the sysjobs table and Job Start_Incremental on DBName_MSCRM.ftcat_documentindex.[7.5] could not be found in the sysjobs table Please help!! The Environment Diagnostics Wizard say: "The Web site for installing SQL Server Reporting Services {0} uses an Application Pool of non-supported identity. Supported identity is Network Service."     - Scheduling customization A bit of a complex question ... I guess In CRM we normally schedule a job to a user ... using the Bicycle Workshop sample database included in the CRM implementation guide one would schedule a bicycle repair job to a technician and CRM does a wonderful job here. Now assuming that a job in reality is not one technician to one bicycle but say one to many .. can CRM be customised to meet the need? The Bicycle Workshop sample database would not be a good example to illustrate this case. Instead consider a small company that owns a set of sailboats each manned by crews. For the purpose of this example a crew is considered to be one unit. The company sells seats on particular cruises. Each ship can only take a maximum number of clients per cruise. Here the scheduling module CRM would be great since it would take care of not allowing two cruises to use the same boat and overlap in time etc etc However can CRM be altered to allow more than one participant on a cruise?     - Creating Dynamic Marketing List There has to be feature were in Multiple Marketing list can be created while importing Leads from one CSV file. For example, I have a marketing list of 15,000 leads for the diffirent states of US in one file.     - CRM Web client shuts immediately Hello, In our office ntework a weird problem exists: I have installed CRM 3 and added users, assigned them roles. I am able to use IE to launch CRM web application from my WinXP SP2 machine. A few of my colleagues, however, just have their IEs disappear the moment they try to access the CRM site. This happens to both Win 2000 SP4 and Win XP SP1, SP2 machines. I do not seem to find a common factor here, as another machine on WIn 2000 SP4 is accessing the site okay. I have searched this group for previous messages on this. Found that the pop-up blocker could be causing the issue. Tried disabling it, adding CRM site to Trusted sites, Local sites (explicitly) - nothing helped. Anyone experienced the same and was able to fix it? Thanks you.     - Child windows spawn coordinates - Changeable ? HI, I would dearly love to change the spawning screen coordinates for all child windows. The problem I am trying to fix are that some users have dual screens (Window extended over 2 screens). If The CRM 3.0 web interface is up in display 2, the child windows spawn in the middle of display 1. I would like to change this behavour so that child windos spawn a fixed coordinate relative to the parent window - say +150,+150 from the top right corner of the parent.     - Export Entity - replace name - import entity? I am looking at adding a Change Order entity into CRM 3. Is it possible to export the â??Invoiceâ?? and â??Invoice Productsâ?? entities and replace the word â??Invoiceâ?? with â??Change Orderâ?? and then import the xml files again? CRMdog@doghouse.com The email never reaches the intended recipient, as I get an error message later in Outlook from System Administrator. The email gets stuck in the â??SmallBusiness SMPT Connector Queue in SBS 2003 and blocks all other emails The strange thing is that emails in plain text get through without a problem but Email Templates and email with graphics get stuck.     - Editing a Sales Process in CRM 1.2 I've just implemented a sales process in CRM 1.2 and have come across a problem. I wanted to edit the sales process so deactivated it, made the change and then activated it again. When checking the reports that depend on the sales process attributes I see that now two sales processes are shown which is not desirable. I think what has happened is that when you deactivate a sales process and activateit again a new process id is given. Is there any solution to this apart from hacking the database?     - CRM Email Tracking and SPAM How big of a concern is the tracking GUID triggering SPAM rules on remote mail servers? We currently use CRM with tracking and have reports of users sending email that the recipient claims they never receive. At this point the claims haven't been verified, we have asked them to report specific instances so we can investigate. There are several reasons why the messages could be marked as SPAM besides the GUID, namely content. If the message is part of a campaign, then obviously the content would play a huge role in SPAM rule application. So, my question is, does anyone have concrete info on the GUID triggering SPAM filter rules? This will help in determining what level of reliance we will put into the email functionality of CRM.     - CRM 1.2 Timezone Did something change in a 1.2 hotfix regarding how dates get stored? Everything is in the Central Time Zone (-5 DST). I create a new opportunity at 1:30p this afternoon and it's createdon = 5/4/2006 13:30 (expected 18:30 UTC). In a custom date field, a select 5/4/2006 and it gets saved as 5/4/2006 0:00 (expected 5:00 UTC). I change my user to the Pacific Time Zone (-7 DST) and repeat the test. createdon = 5/4/2006 13:40 (expected 18:40 UTC) and the custom date field = 2:00 (expected 7:00).     - Custom Roles We created 2 custom roles for the sales team. Their core records permissions give them full control over opportunities. However, users in one of these 2 roles try to close an opportunity they get an error that says insufficient permissions. If we add a Core Role, like VP of Sales to the user account roles, while leaving the custom role in place the users can then close opportunities without an issue.     - CRM Queue - Email Attachment Problem Hello, I am running CRM 3.0 with a mail enabled Queue (support@company.com). When the queue receives an email that has another email message as an attachment I lose the attached (embedded) email. Attachments seem to work ok for Office docs but not when the email contains an embedded email. I can reproduce this every time by just composing a new email to the queue in Outlook (2003) and then selecting an item to insert instead of a file (down arrow next to the paperclip).     - Error When Closing Opportunity We have an issue where when an user attempts to close an opportunity, they get the following error: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information and where it originated in the code. System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException: Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040220. I had seen an earlier post that said a possible workaround was to put a valid value in the Est. field, but this workaround is useless. Does anyone have any idea of how to close these out?     - Importing data from Production to Pre-Production I currently have a Pre-Production Environment of CRM on a different CRM Server, Different Database Server, Different Service Account, Different Organization Unit in Active Directory, SAME Organization Name, Exact same customizations published. I wanted to import the data from the Production Environment so that we may perform some tests against pre-prod with actual data. Is there any easy way to do this without Scribe?     - Error When Merging Two Records Greetings! When trying to merge the contents of two records, our users get an error: "An error has occured. For more information, contact your system administrator" Which is followed by an IE Script Error: "'crmMergeForm' is undefined" At first I thought it was a permissions issue, however every one of our security roles has full rights on Merge in the Miscellaneous Privileges section.     - Problem with accessing CRM on Small Business Server Hello, I have an issue with an instance of CRM 3.0 which I am running on a small business server 2003. When I try and access CRM using the web client it times out as it appears the w3svc is down. After I reboot the SBS the service works and I can access CRM for a couple of days before it shuts down again. I have been through the event log to no avail and the service is showing as "started" but all internet access to the server is unavailable. I am looking for doc or manual which explains in details about integration
of outlook 2003 and MS CRM

I had currently SBS 2003 Box with Exchange 2003 & CRM installed and
configured.

I am facing an issue related to CRM, i find activities under Outlook (CRM
PST) but when i check same on CRM Web i see nothing in same client. can any1
point me what could be issue :-)?
