Is there a bug in 4.0 with regards to the addition of opportunity
products to the opportunity? I can't figure this out but I've done all
the set up of units, unit groups, price list items just as it was in
3.0, but yet when I try and add a price list to the opportunity in 4.0
the lookup list is empty.

It seems hard to believe there's a bug in the product as it worked in
3.0 but then again I've analyzed this from every angle and I cannot
see that I'm doing anything wrong in terms of set up.

Help is appreciated!

It should work. I think that CRM filters the available price lists based on
the currency, so if your opportunity uses a different currency than you have
setup in your price lists, then it would explain your issue. I'm using price
lists without any problems so far.

We finally discovered what caused this issue to occur so I thought I'd
post the answer to my own question. Note that a colleage of mine
discovered the root cause so credit goes to him -

I figured out the problem by comparing the customizations.xml file
from the 2 different organizations (one working, one not). Turns out,
the original item has an Event associated with it. This event doesn't
show up in the Form editor, but it is present in the Customization
file:

So when I removed the Price List field from the Form, it removed the
Event as well. This field should probably be locked down, but it
wasn't. The event does not get added back when adding the field back
to the form so the jscript needs to be manually added back in - a bug
in the product.
