I've recently moved my CRM Server to the new server outside of my LAN, it had
a static IP address and be able to connect through Web Browser.
But when I setup the Microsoft CRM Laptop Client for Outlook on my laptop to
use Outlook to synchronize with CRM, I had a problem.
After installing Microsoft CRM Laptop Client for Outlook and run Outlook,
the error message appeared: "There is a problem communicating with the CRM
server. The server might be unavailable. Try again later. If the problem
persists, contact your system administrator.", and the MS CRM icon on the
task show "disabled" status.
Could anyone help me to figure out what is the problem and how to fix it?
I would be very appriciate! Hope to hear from you soon!
Thanks in advance!

I would try to setup a new CRM Laptop Client and ensure that it works with
your new CRM Server setting. If the new CRM Laptop Client works, then use
those settings to trouble-shoot or reinstall your current Laptop Client that
is not working.

Good luck.

Some ideas you can try to help isolate the issue you are facing:

1. Setup a new PC and install the laptop client to connect to your new CRM
Server. Does it work?

2. If it does, then use setting to reinstall the current laptop client that
doesn't work

3. If it doesn't, post more details of your CRM Server that was moved to the
new server outside of my LAN. Does the CRM Web Client work?

Dear Frank,

There's something I need to reconfirm:
I've setup a new PC and installed CRM Client on it, the Web Client still
working just fine but the Client for Outlook didn't work? Just wnat to
emphasize that my new Server located outside of my LAN network, and I
connected to server by IP Address and port number using Web Client.
