    - Snap-in failed to initilize Error Hi, I've installed MS CRM 1.2 in win 2003 server and it was working fine. But now, when i click on Deployment manager,iam getting an error -- Snap-in failed to initilize If i try to access the MS crm site,Iam getting following Error; User Access Error the system could not log you on.this could be because you are not a MS CRM user,your record has been disabled in the systemyou not been assigned any security roles or you have not bees assigned a licenae.     - Having an Instalation issue, HELP I am installing CRM 1.2 and having some issues. I am installing over TS but same issue from the console I am installing with windows server 2003 I am installing with SQL 2000 sp3a (new install) SQL and SQL are on the same box OK as I install I put the key in no problem I put the sql server in , and create new database no problem Pick my domain and orginizational name no problem Pick defrault web site and installation directory No problem I choose a domain user account, that is a domain admin and every other type of admin looks like no problem I click install Looks good Then BAMB I get this error: Setup was unable to install Microsoft CRM Server Setup was unable to add the account to SQLAccessGroup in Avtive Directory. A constraint violation occurred. (8007202F) When i look at the DC I see the Orginization name in AD. When I look inside the Orginization i see SQLAccessGroup type: Security Group Granted im a cisco engineer not a MS wiz but i dont understand why this is happening. Please any help would be great.     - Quote Template I just reviewed the information from Matt on modifying the Quote.dot template and I am still unable to get it to work properly. This is my first attempt at trying this to so please be patient. I have copied the quote.dot, copied in our corporate styles and text, and used the Insert Merge Fields to insert some of the fields I need into the Quote Template such as Potential Customer, Quote ID, Revision number, Bill to Address lines, but I am unable to find how in insert the Contact Name and Title. I tried attaching to the database source, but not sure which of the 2 tables or fields contains what I want. Tried a couple but it gave me errors. The first time I tried I used a quote with only 1 product and it worked OK. I tried it again with a quote with 2 products and it did not work. I am struggling here.     - Deployment Manager Snap-in Failed In MSCRM 1.2 we tried to create a new Business Unit with a new name. This caused users in our original BU to have problems, so we tried to delete the new BU after moving all users back to the initla BU. In the process, MSCRM failed and we get a snap-in failure message when we try to open the Deployment Manager. We have verified within Active Directory that all users have the propoer permission.     - Good MRP for CRM? Were in the process of looking for an MRP that will work well with our CRM. From what I've read seems like only Great Plains, and supposedly Navision (when CRM 2.0 comes out) will be directly made to work with CRM. Were a small shop,......about 12 CRM users, and with a new MRP, that might add at most 10 users.     - Installation Question Hello, 1. I am running CRM 1.2 on SBS. It has sharepoint on it and two nic's. I created a Web Site called CRMSite an assigned it to one of the nic's. It looks like the Default WEbSite is already using port 80, so I stopped it. I can get to the web site using Http://CRMSite. I only installed the first disk.     - Disappearing .SRF mapping One of our clients had a situation yesterday in which some of our customizations, which had been running fine, inexplicably stopped working. What we ultimately discovered was that the app mapping for the .srf extension in their MSCRMServices virtual directory had disappeared, breaking the CRM SOAP interfaces. Luckily, manually re-adding the mapping fixed things. We're still scratching our heads as to how this happened, though. Has anyone else experienced this, and do you know why? When I look up Activities/ History tab, I could see the emails and their subjects but no time line, so I don't know which message is the one I'm looking for, especially the ones that have been forwarded or replied a few times.     - repeat question....still looking for an answer how are people handling the situation of no salesperson ID being transferred over from CRM to Great Plains on the customer card? Also how are people handling the situation of no tax schedule ID available in CRM? I'm told that my customer class ID in GP will have to be set up with a default tax id - THIS DOESN'T MAKE SENSE. Without a salesperson ID or a tax schedule ID it creates a lot more work for my accounting dept. they will have to go into every card in GP and add in the correct tax id and then they have to go to crm to find out who owns the account, go back to GP and add in the salesperson ID. There has got to be people using crm and gp and have encountered this problem. PLEASE HELP...how are you getting around this?     - CRM Mobile on SBS2003 Hi group, I just finished an installation of CRM Mobile on SBS2003 Standard. The test PDA is a Dell Axim X30 with 64MB RAM and 64MB ROM. The SBS server has 1GB memory. Here are the important decisions: 1.. Used the self-signed certificate that was generated by SBS during internet setup (CEICW). The certificate refers to the external fully qualified name of the firewall. 2.. Added an IP address to my internal NIC and added an A record. I previously used host header in IIS with CNAME in DNS. 3.. Revised IIS for the CRM 1.2 site to remove host header, point to the new IP and add custom SSL port. 4.. Used a custom port for SSL. SBS uses 443 and 444. 5.. Opened the custom port on the external firewall and RRAS. 6.. Installed CRM Mobile. 7.. Ran the static IP address configuration tool. Prior to running it the CRM integration service threw hundreds of 7031 system error messages as it stopped and restarted. It couldn't find CRM. 8.. During creation of the client deployment package changed all URLs for CRM mobile to reference the firewall fully qualified name and custom port in the form server.domain.com:nnn. The URL being replaced was the fully qualified intranet name of the server in the form server.domain.local. 9.. Also placed the CE 2.0 database and error log on the Storage Card as noted in the Implementation Guide. I have tested CRM Mobile locally and it works without prompting for any passwords. I also tested it externally. There is a prompt for password (but not user id) at the beginning of the sync. I also tested Exchange Outlook Mobile Access (OMA) to insure port 443 was still working. The two new services on the server (integration and device registration) require about 60MB total. The PDA used up most of the program memory during the install and initial sync. I also experienced an unexpected reboot of the PDA when I accessd the Dell WLAN utility, but it functioned well after that. Bottom line: CRM Mobile works quite well on my small CRM database. It's very solid for a 1.0 release. I highly recommend you view the two recorded webcasts on the partner website. They are from early August, 2004. The titles are CRM Mobile 101 and 102.     - Importing Accounts intto MSCRM I'm trying to import Accounts into MSCRM 1.2 with the DTS. But unfortunatly without succes. I think I make a simple error when I import the excel file into the CDF. It's also possible that my excel file is not correct. I studied the documentation several time from the beginning to the end, without success. It would be perfect when somebody could send me an example of an import file which was a success (account, contact what ever....). With this, I could verify if my installation is fine and the import process works. Or if somebody has another idee, your welcome.     - restore contact form I've customized the default contact form, before I realized the changes I wanted to make would be easier done in the deployment manager. Now I want to start over and do it better. How do I put the contact form back to default and undo all the changes to the fields I've made? Just to make sure this is what I should do, here is a quick description of the changes I'm trying to make: Adding SSN field by changing the properties on the employeeid field. Adding on office location field by changing properties on address2_freighttermscode field. Etc, Etc, etc... I just found out that I could made schema changes in the deployment manager, so I think it would be better to do it that way. The form has not been published yet, which is why I found out that I couldn't see it when trying to use it at my desktop. THanks!     - Pipeline chart error or ? We have a customer who wants to use the report Oppertunity Pipeline chart report per sales rep. When I choose this the chart doesn't appear right, there is a white block in the chart. I've tried it in both a Danish and English version and get the same result. Does anyone know how to fix this ? Hi Guys,

Well, the project (Microsoft CRM - Syspro Integration) that I have been
working on is finally over. I have the entire system up and running at my
side. Now I have to deploy it at our client's site and I need some help with
that. Here are the details:

My office machine has Windows XP Professional OS and I did not have another
machine running Windows 2000 Server OS which is required to install
Microsoft-CRM Server and Microsoft BizTalk Server when I started this
project. So I used Microsoft Virtual PC (VPC) in which I have Windows 2000
Server OS running. I installed Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft CRM Server,
Microsoft BizTalk Server, Microsoft BizTalk Adapter for SQL Server, and
Microsoft Visual Studio .Net on that. Thus the entire development is done on
VPC and now I want to shift everything from VPC to our client's server. Here
is the list of things that I need to transfer:

1. Temporary tables, Triggers, and Stored Procedures from VPC-SQL Server
2. Jobs from VPC-BizTalk Adapter for SQL Server
3. Channels and Message Ports from VPC-BizTalk Messaging Manager
4. Installed Windows Services (developed using C#)

I know that, I have to install fresh copies of Microsoft SQL Server,
Microsoft CRM Server, and Microsoft BizTalk Server on our client's server.
But how can I transfer all the development work I have done at my side so far
using these tools?

Also do I have to install Microsoft Visual Studio .Net on our client's
server for the Windows Service to work?

Bottom Line: I want to transfer the entire integration system from VPC to
the Client's Server. How should I do this?

Any help is appreciated.
