K3 have developed a multi currency option for Microsoft CRM. The add
on
component allows the user to define a base currency and then create an
unlimited number of foreign currencies with default exchange rates.
Default
currency codes are then added to Contacts, Accounts, Opportunities and
Quotation objects. The add-on also supports multi-currency price and
discount lists, checking that the correct currency price list is chosen
for
the account. We have also added functionality to copy price lists and
bulk %
price updates too.

If anyone is interested in more details, please let me know and I can
send
you a powerpoint presentation.

Does anybody has solution for using multi-currency on different level of
organization (for business units)?
Let say I have multinational corporation and each business unit should their
currency, but then consolidated reports should be in the currency of the
parent BU.

Can those add-ons from K3 and CRMExtensions handle multicurrency for
pricelists, quotes, accounts and for the reports and BU levels as well? If
this is true - I'll buy one for sure!

Who knows about MSFT plans on multi-currency? Any coming updates? Or usual -
third party will handle...

Thanks!
Eugene

Looks like there are several options, in this string... One of my
clients uses Experlogix to create Quotes in Euros as well as USD. They
actually have the dollar amounts in both currencies on Oppy, Quote,
Order... Experlogix translates whatever one they selected to the
other, so we always have both. Reports are then based on USD, without
the sales reps having to do anything exxtra. HTH,

Just to confirm that K3 set a currency for the base installation and each
account and contact can have their own currency. This does not come down to
Business Unit. We do have multi currency price lists, quotes etc and the
reports are modified to sho base and trading values. We are not aware that
Microsoft will add this functionality in Titan.

Malcolm,

We use for 98% EURO for Offers & Order confirmation, for the rest Customers
want to have there native currency. But all of the Invoices have to be in
native currency, with the Exchange Rate of the date of the invoice on it.

Also there are (minimal) 2 Exchange Rate's per currency (that's 1 national
and several bank exchange rate's. Also exchange rate's depends on the total
amount of the invoice. Seems strange, but that's the way it works around
here.)

Does K3 support this also?

Wbr.,

Wolfgang.

I think we could cope OK with the invoices in native currency as that is
only form design. You could have more than one current exchange rate but
that would involve setting up the currency in a slightly different format a
number of times.
I doubt however if there is a way of selecting exchange rate on the value of
the invoice.

We operate in Sterling and have set-up our company as a Business Unit in CRM
V3. Someo fo our customers & suppliers need us to deal in Euros or USdollars.
On an invoice when does the exchange rate get locked? is it when the invoice
status is changed from Pending to "cut" for example.

I am interested in finding out more about your solutions
