In the service calendar in MS Dynamics 4.0 you are able to create new
appointments and service activities (just like in CRM 3.0). Appointments and
Service Activities which are created will be present in the Service Calendar.
To see all details of such a record you must open it. But by moving your
mouse on the concerning appointment or service activity, a text-box-view
appears with primary information.

With appointments the content of the following fields is displayed:
'show time as', 'subject', 'start time' and 'end time'

With service activities the content of the following fields is displayed:
'show time as', 'subject', 'start time' and 'end time'

What I would like to know is if there is a way to change the fields of which
the content is displayed in the mouse-on view?

None that I'm aware of Out of the Box. There is the option to show the
resource detail on the bottom half of the Service Calendar view.

Good feedback for future update.

Hi Frank,

Too bad that there does not seem to be a workable solution to modify this.
However, I was triggered by your comment that there is an option to show the
resource details on the bottom half of the Service Calendar view. Could you
be more specific on how to realize this and what it will show (I will try to
find out myself of course, but if you could help this would be great)? Thanks
in advance.

Regards,
Jasper

I found out how to show the details and influence the fields displayed for
service activities. That is at least closer to the solution I was looking
for. The only requirement left is to be able to show the tab Service Activity
first instead of the tab General (in section Show Resource Details). Does
anybody know whether this is editable or not? It would be great if possible,
because then I have got what I want.

Hi Jasper,

I was wondering if you found the solution to you last issue. I want to see
the Appointment/Service Activity tab instead of General Tab each time that I
click on the actual appointment/service activity in the service calendar.

Thanks

What I found out was that when you are looking at the resources view in the
service calendar that the tab general is first and the actual service
activity or appointment is the second tab.

But when looking at the service activity-view, the appointments-view or the
service activity&appointment-view in the service calendar you will see that
information immediately and the second tab will include info on the related
resources.

When you think about it, that is in fact how it should be. I hope you
understand what I am sayingm, and that it fits your needs.
