A Most Reccently Used (MRU) feature would save huge amounts of time flicking
between different records. Office does it, Windows does, why not CRM?

How about adding the "Modified On" column to the views and creating a custom
view by using Advanced Find to show contacts modified on this week? With CRM
3.0 Advanced Finds you can even build a query for the view that looks at
related entities, such as activites modified on this week.
