We have found that the log files from the CRM mobile database can grow to an
enormous size e.g. the log file for one client had grown to 40GB before they
noticed the size. To shrink this log file we had to open the SQL Enterprise
Manager and change the "Properties > Recovery Model" from Full to Simple.

I am hoping someone can tell us why this Recovery Model is set to Full and
not Simple and how this enormous growth occurs in the log files for each CRM
database?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks John, we have a number of other SQL databases and we have never seen
growth like this before.

Thanks for this help.

John, this client has only 1 CRM Mobile user at this stage and yet the
MSCRMMobileSubscription.mdf file is approx. 350MB. This mobile device would
be storing around 1,000 Accounts along with 2,000 contacts, some activities
and notes. This seems to be very large amount of space for these records.
They require 20 mobile users so I am a bit worried about the size of this
database.
