I have successfully created a deployment package.

The package contains a) .net compact framework 2.0 b) sql server ce 3.0 c)
sql server ce 3.0 replication d) root certificate e)configured crm mobile
software.

When, I run the .cab file on the ppc5, all I see being installed is the name
of the deployment package. However, framework, sql, crm mobile client,
certificate are not being installed.

I, also, found temp folder which contains cesm.exe and crmmobile.exe.

Do you need to be connected to crm server when installing crm mobile client?

Could somebody tell me what the issue here is?

Thanks in advance

It is not necessary to connect to the crm server when installing the crm
mobile client. You do need it when logging in and registering (1st time).

I noticed that some pda phones are very "sensitive", so you may want to try
re-running the installations again, check the ROM is the latest version,
ensure that it meets the minimim specifications.

Good luck.

I am having the same problem. WM5 Verizon Wireless XV6700. We have a couple
of Cingular 8125's but I haven't had a chance to test the install on them.
It's very weird becuase after the install I can't find any of the files that
are supposed to be installed and no icon in the Programs group.

Hello All,

I'd love to hear if anyone has found a solution to this issue. My
Cingular 8125 installed CRM Mobile just fine, but my boss's 8125 and my
co-worker's 8125 exhibit the same symptoms as mentioned by RG. The
"master" cab file installs, but none of the "child" cab files (.NET
Compact Framework, SQL CE 3.0, SQL CE 3.0 Replication, CRM_Mobile
installation item) will install. Any assitance or direction would be
greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Nate
