Since applying Rollup 1 yesterday, we experience the followng error:

"Failed move data for entity 'Contact' during sainsert. countRow=1"

Searching I find suggestions that this is an issue Rollup 1 will resolve. In
this case it was working fine UNTIL we applied the rollup.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

It appears to be a problem that crops up after the rollup is applied. I had
the same problem. Check out my blog, www.ts2community.com/blogs/larrylentz
for more info on how to resolve it.

Tried the hot fix it solved my problem and is now working for the Laptop
Clients. MS need to fix this as we have a lot of clients with Laptop Clients.

Where can we get KB923327 from? We have the same problem with contacts not
being able to syncronize and allow the Laptop client to go offline.

Can someone send me the above fix?

Best regards,

You cannot download this fix. You have to contact MS for it.

My suggestion is just to use the new v3c client. This fixed it for me...

What is this "new v3c client"? We are using the CRM v3 laptop client with
Update Rollup 1. Are you referring to this or something else?

There is an updated outlook client which supports office 2007 and vista

this client should be used in preference to the outlook client in the
rollup1 update

I see.

However, I understand that the problem of synchronization is caused by the
CRM MSDE database and that's why I have been looking for the corresponding
hotfix.

Do you think that if I use the new Outlook client, the problem will be
solved? (even if I have difficulty in synchronizing already, since a couple
of days?)

My experience is that the new V3C Outlook client will NOT resolve this
in some cases. I have the problem since the update, moved to the V3C
Outlook client (which by the way, it backward compatible, and we have
found it to be the resolution to other issues, such as Outlook hanging
up completely). I've also searched for missing required fields and
have yet to identify any, so I'm still searching.

I just identified one issue. If the saInsert is failing on 'Activity'
or 'E-mail' check your Event Viewer on the CRM Server. In the
Application Log, I found the following error:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Alert Manager Event Interface
Event Category: None
Event ID: 257
Date: 1/18/2007
Time: 4:15:50 AM
User: N/A
Computer: DALDATA
Description:
VirusScan Enterprise: The file C:\Program Files\Microsoft
CRM\Server\OfflineData\{0C129879-D28D-DA11-B5FB-00065BFE3103}.bin is
infected with Exploit-ObscuredHtml Trojan. The file was successfully
deleted.(from DALDATA IP 10.10.10.49 user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM running
VirusScan Enter 8.0 OAS)

Apparently, there is a problem w/McAffe or I actuallly have a virus in
one of the emails I was trying to take offline. When the file got
written to the OfflineData directory, McAfee deletes the offline data.
I removed any Emails from my offline data, and I was finally able to go
offline.

Sorry, I was talking about the Outlook Compatibility Update which is a
new version of the laptop client, aka as v3c. It provides compatibility
with Vista and Office2007. But it also fixes this problem :-)

Go, get it here:
