If I change an account name or address in CRM, it doesn't update the
corresponding GP info, but it is working properly with changes to GP updating
CRM. I can't use the auto-account number generation going from CRM to GP b/c
of formatting issues, so I have the account creation option in the
Integration settings set to create on sales order only & not automatic. I
don't know if that could be the cause. Does anyone have any ideas?
TIA,
John

Hello John,
Please look for the update messages of the Account in the Integration
Monitor Tool. That might help.

Neha

Hi John,
if you have the account creation option set to create on sales order only,
the new accounts/contacts created will not integrate unless they come as a
part of the sales order.
So ideally even with this setting being set to "Create customer on sales
order only", this will not stop updation of the old accounts those were
already integrated.

But if you have created this account (that you are updating) after you have
tunred on this setting then the account has not get integrated. And if you
try update on the same account, the update will not also go.
To debug it, you can use integration monitor tool to find out what happens
to the update message that comes to integration when you upate that account.
so can you please look into the integration monitor and send us some more
information on what is happening to the update message?

Thanks for your help. To clarify...I do mean accounts in GP that were
migrated to CRM, and not accounts that were created after the fact. I'm in a
bind b/c of the account # not being created in my proper format in CRM...thus
I must create the customer in GP first with the correct account number. But
if I then update the account name or address in CRM, it doesn't do anything
in GP. And there is no log at all of the update in the Integration Monitor,
but they are all there as successful if the change is made in GP & updating
in CRM. So it doesn't look like it is going through biztalk at all, as there
is no failed log.
TIA,
John
