We are planning to install CRM 3 Rollup 2. I need to make sure that there
are no issues with installing the Rollup on the server and not installing on
all workstations right away so that we are prepared for any problems that may
occur.

I have installed rollup #2 at multiple clients and the installation
went pretty smooth.

Good luck!

Works pretty well for us.

Here is a link on some notes on latest update for microsoft crm:

Just know that it is still software, so it will never be perfect, so always
perform a full backup prior to any production updates.

Darren, you didn't answer the question.

The user wants to install the update on the server. Then over say a week
install the client udpate. Does that cause any problems with the clients if
the server is updated but the clients are not?

I have the same issue. Server is here, clients are all elsewhere and will
take time to update.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Melissa,

You should keep it in sync as much as possible. Usually the clients
that I worked with, they push the update out to their users in the
next day or so. I don't know what will happen if you don't keep it in
sync. this is probably a good questions for MS. I let you know after I
find out more. :=)

Just thinking of it. The light client should be OK and the desktop
client with the go-offline function might be affected. Since the light
client just connecting the Web client.
