    - Can I resale my licenses for CRM 3.0? I think we leaped into something that we weren't expecting as far as total investment to fully-customize and launch CRM 3.0. We're considering putting the project on hold indefinitely but have 10 licenses (3 yr CALs) and are wondering if we can resale those licenses and if so, how would we go about doing it. So ideally I would want product name, price per unit, quantity, item total. Formatted values preferred, but if not then I can format them through the datagrid. I already know how to alter the query to just return the rows I need, but how do I display them. How do I get from where I am, to where I want to be, please. Regards Shaine BTW this would not be an issue if I could use salesorderdetail on a custom entity form, or have I missed a cricial bit of functionality. I tried to do it through the web app, and its not in the list of available stuff, and I exported the custom entity altered the props of the form (fetchxml query, returning entity id etc), reimported it, but when I run it I get one of those "an error has occured, contact your admin" messages, so I decided it wasn't worth it.     - CRM support for recurring appointments in Outlook I am surprised that CRM 3.0 does not support recurring appointments created in Outlook.     - Unauthorized exception (retrieve function under a callout) I need help for a problem that I cannot figure out for a week. The problem is; I have modified the sample code for callout which is called CalloutSample. I have modified the PreSetState function and set it to work for my own entity called "new_incident_detail". In the code, I need to retrieve another entity; however, when I use the retrieve function I get an "Unauthorized Exception". The log for that exception is: "Error: ISV code aborted operation: assembly: Microsoft.Crm.Sdk.FullSample.CalloutSample.dll; class: Microsoft.Crm.Sdk.FullSample.Callouts.CalloutSample; entity: new_incident_detail, event: presetstate, error message from ISV code: Exception = Ä°stek baÅ?arÄ±sÄ±z oldu, HTTP durumu: 401: Unauthorized. I want to clarify a few points; 1- I use an "administrator" account for the CRM service, which I declare it as follows; CrmService service = new CrmService(); service.Credentials = new System.Net.NetworkCredential(username,password,domain); 2- The function and user that I use in this code certainly works in either â??workflow assemblyâ?? or â??aspxâ?? page. 3- Callout code works fine without any function that uses Crm service. 4- I use CRM 3.0 Turkish version.     - Write lock on Entity Hi Guys, I need to know if it is possible for a user to obtain a write lock on an entity. I wnat only the first user to open an Account for example to be able to edit that account. if three more users open the account while the first user has the write lock then those users can't esit any fields on the account. when the user which had the write lock save and exists the account then the next user in the "Que" gets permisions to edit the fields and save his data and so it continues.     - Migration of Activities with status Completed Hi, using the DMF, all records in cdf_fax en cdf_letter are not migrated when they have statecode 1 (completed). If I just change this to 0 (Open) they migrate without a problem. The error in the log says : Failed to migrate object: Server was unable to process request. Any help would be greatly appreciated !     - Outlook Client: Actual end date set to Tracking date When promoting an Email from Outlook to CRM 3.0 it sets the Actual en date to the date I promote the Email. In v1.2 this used to be the date the Email was received. Now my customer loses the chronological order of incoming Email unless all Emails are promoted on the day of reception.     - CRM connection to subsidiary Hi, we have introduced MS CRM with an own CRM Server. On this CRM Server we have also implemented a SQL Server. Additionally we use an own Exchange Server 2003 and Active Directory. In near future we face the CRM connection to our subsidiary which has to get access to our CRM system. They have their own Exchange Server 2003 but should - if possible - not have an own CRM Server. Has anyone experience regarding this problem and give us some advice?     - I don't want license for some users... Is there any way to have active users without license? My service manager needs to plan services. Services are processed by service staff. This staff don't need to work in CRM (no licenses for them) but they are people and I want them to have in system as users which can be attached to work group. Is it possible?     - Unable to Share Parent Contacts Hello - has anyone had an issues with sharing Parent Contacts that have sub contacts attached? I have found that the subcontact can be shared no problem and when you disassociate the parent contact with the subcontact - it too can be shared. The problem seems to lie in the fact that that as long as a parent contact has associated sub-contacts - it cannot be shared: The following error message occurs: A record with these values already exists.     - Business Data Lookup I have installed the Business Data Lookup add on which is supposed to allow CRM data to be inserted into office documents such as a Word file.     - Regarding Multiple Records in an Email I am about to lose a deal to Salesforce.com. Apparently they have a way to regard multiple records, and CRM 3.0 does not. I have a prospect that frequently emails a customer about 3 vendors products (Vendor A, B, and C). In order for them to quickly answer a particular Vendorâ??s call on the status of a client, we need to be able to attach that email to not only the customer/contact, but also all of the Vendors (A, B and C) that the email was related to.     - AttributeMap table can't be cleaned with MSCRMDeletionService Hello, I'm getting errors in my event log whenever the MSCRMDeletionService is run. Error: Deletion Service failed to clean up some tables. For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp. I ran the service using the console and I found that the AttributeMap table is the culprit. I believe this problem was a result of an earlier problem that I encountered. Here's the issue description of the error and the workaround. MS should be aware that CRM allowed me to remove a custom attribute that was being used in relationship mappings. CRM ISSUE----------------------------------- "Query Builder Error - No Attribute" when viewing relationship mappings ----------------------------------------------------- This error occurs when an attribute that was previous mapped to another entity was deleted from the entity. apparently CRM doesn't automatically remove the relationship mappings! Workaround: turn on developer errors so you can see what attribute is missing. Re-add the attribute. Delete the mappings. Delete the attribute again. here's a sample: 'Quote' entity doesn't contain attribute with Name = 'new_pcgprojectnumber'. Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. Exception Details: Microsoft.Crm.Metadata.AttributeMetadataNotFoundException: 'Quote' entity doesn't contain attribute with Name = 'new_pcgprojectnumber'. Source Error: An unhandled exception was generated during the execution of the current web request. Information regarding the origin and location of the exception can be identified using the exception stack trace below. END CRM ISSUE----------------- I've added the suspect attribute back into the quote, order, invoice entities where they originally added. I still get the error when it tries to clean up the AttributeMap table. Does anyone know how I can troubleshoot this error? I would image there's an orphaned attribute that is causing the problem.     - CRM Toolbar Missing.. cant add back in We have 70 of our salesmen using the outlook client. One of them is having a problem that I cant figure out. His toolbar is missing so crm doesnt work. I have tried adding it back in and it gives me this error. "An error occured loading Microsoft CRM Functionality. Try restarting Microsoft Outlook. Contact your system administrator if errors persist." this error pops up in a grey application window. Then if i click on one of the crm folders, everything except the content of the page loads up. "Page title and navigation, search boxes, etc." When it gets to trying to load the list of records it gives me this error. "An error occured loading Microsoft CRM functionality, Try restarting Outlook. Contact your system administrator if errors persist" this error has a yellow background.     - Error sending email from workflow I created a workflow that will send out an email when an entity is created/assigned. But the email is not sent. Checked the log in the workflow monitor, got error: Error code = 80049306. Access is denied. I checked that email is working by creating an email activity, send it to the same user as the workflow and it works fine. Why is it that it works fine when i create an email activity, but it does not work when sending from workflow? The workflow are created with a CRM user.     - updating a custom field in Accounts from another SQL database Is there any safe way to update a custom field in the Accounts on CRM without using .Net programming or expensive software like Scribe. We need to update a flag custom field using info from another database. I know how to do it using ODBC link in Access to the CRM table, but I also know this is not recommended due to security in CRM. But we do not have any other options right now. Giving that this is not part of the default fields in CRM, and we are only updating not adding or deleting, are there really any issues to worry about. I'm working with customizing the Leads entity and I want to add the "Phone Call" icon to the top menu bar next to attachment and Send Email. Hi all,

I'm having some difficulty installing CRM 3.0.

Can someone tell me exactly how to install SQL 2005 std. ed. so that I can
install CRM with the default SBS settings? One of my major concerns is what
instance to install? The default? Is this going to interfere with any
existing settings?

Current machine is running a new installation of SBS 2003 prem, with all the
associated toys of a standard install but no ISA.
