    - MSDE Installation Fails with SFO Trying to install SFO (Version 1.2) and it fails when attempting to install MSDE. I get the follow error: "Set has failed because of an error. Setup was unable to install Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Desktop Engine (sp3a). Install it seperatly and restart setup.exe." I am running Windows XP SP2. I have tried disabling the windows firewall but still fails. The CRM server is up and running and I can access it via the http://<crm server name>.     - error on page I sometimes have the error message "error on page" below in the main ms crm window, when I switch from Sales to Workplace , or from Workplace to Home. Is this a known problem, and is there a solution for this. I do not have it always, and clicking on F5 resolves it.. untill it is back. Any idea ?     - KDC error followed by You are not authorized to view this page My CRM server was reporting KDC errors. I followed the KB article http://support.microsoft.com/?id=215383 to stop the errors. Now I can not get to the CRM web site at all, I am getting "You are not authorized to view this page" when I hit the CRM web page.     - Mail Merge Issue When I perform a mail merge, CMR automatically attaches an activity to each affected account, with a subject line of "Mail Merge Letter." My users want to attach the actual letter to this activity, and rename it to something more meaningful. Unfortunately, when it is created, it is also (inexplicably) closed.     - SFO causes High CPU utilization on SQL server This recently started happening, and I am not sure why. I loaded SFO on two new laptops and attempted to go offline with each. The SQL Server is also the same server running CRM 1.2. When the synch starts on the client the SQL/CRM server instantly spikes to 100% and stays that way as the SFO client never finishes the synch process.     - Emails in HELP DESK enviroment The clients in this case are people working inside the same organization (using the same exchange) and when they opened a case the main comunication between Help desk and them is by email. But those emails are arriving to OUTLOOK and NOT to the CRM!! How can we change that?? We want to relate those emails to the correct case. The actual process is: 1. The request arrive by email to Outlook. Help Desk open a case and attach the email to it. 2. Help Desk send an email (from CRM) to the user with indications... 3.     - Modifying Domain Logon name I added a user, but forgot to include the domain name infront of the user name. While CRM told me (after save & close) that the domain name must be entered, it still allowed the user to be created. Some of my accounts contain & in the name (of cource :-) ) But I fail in my Account.Create ... My code works fine with regular names, and I also managed to query whether an account like that exists (using like %...). Anyone knows how to do that?     - Accounts, Cases, Teams + Sharing Issue All, I've noticed that If I share an Account (Account A) with a Team (Team A) then any Cases (Case A) where 'Account A' is the Customer of 'Case A 'are automatically shared with 'Team A' and cannot be unshared. This means that once an Account is shared, no 'User Level' or confidential Cases can be created for that Account, as they are always shared with 'Team A'.     - Dates Hello Everyone, I am tring to create a sql report off the CRM database and suppose if I write a query Select * from Opportunity where estimatedclosedate >='12/30/2004' It sometimes picks up records equal to '12/30/2004' and sometimes it doesn't. when I say Estimatedclosedate='12/30/2004' then it doesn't return anything at all and one more thing I noticed was on the CRM site there is an opportunity with estimatedclosedate as '12/30/2004' and that same record is stored in CRM database with Estimatedcloseddate as '12/31/2004' Any help is greatly appreciated.     - How to pass a parameter to a crystal report with a twist I'm cheating because I need a quick answer. I already know how to pass a parameter to a report manually. But how do I pass an entity ID through as a parameter? Specifically, I am adding a button to the account and contact objects using the isv.config file. I was using my server as localserver and CRM only could be acces locally but now we put it in DNZ zone so it can be accesed through Web but now I can´t access Workflow manager.     - Crystal Reports error Hello there! A particular report, when it is called through CRM, gives the following error : "Max Processing time/Max records limit reached". I set the maxDBResultRecords command to 0 at the Crystal Configuration Manager and now the report works continuously without giving any results (neither errors) at all. We are trying to import out ACT! data into MSCRM using the cdf databases, and
have been going along without problems until we get to the test integration-
the p_cdf_SetTestBatchCount appears to work fine, but when we go to the
cdf_EntityMigrationInfo, the TestBatchCount still reads <null> not the value
we set. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
