Hi guys,

I'm planning on doing a demo for a client of CRM 3.0. I have a server
kicking around with 640MB RAM, 18GB SCSI U160 drive and a 933Mhz PIII
processor. I want to install SQL Server 2005 and CRM 3.0 on this box.

Q: Will this be sufficient to demo CRM to just a few users at once with a
couple hundred account records? Or is it going to be so painfully slow as to
affect their evaluation of the product?

It will be painfully slow to boot up and to initially cache the pages.
Once running it should be fast enough for evaluation. However, initial
impressions count for a lot and you could be doing more harm than good with
the 640 mb of ram.
