We have many custom entities defined for our system. My issue is that I only
see Filtered views for some of them even though the enities seem to be set up
in the same way. I am not sure what is causing some of the entities to have
a custom view and others not.

Hi,
When ever you create a new entity. There is always a Filtered View for that
entity in Views in CRM Database. Name of the Filtered View is
"Filtered<Schema Name of Entity>".
Filtered Views are always recommended to use instead of other Views or
direct tables.
