    - Importing Picklists 3.0 Hi all, I went to add new values to the picklists in the customisation section of one of the forms and found adding new values to be quite tedious, if you only have 3 or 4 ok, but I wanted to input 100. This would be quite time consuming. Is there a way to add vaules programatically (Like I assume the form does), as aposed to doing it manually or using the data migration (CDF database) technique.     - Export CRM-contacts to Outlook Global Contact (CRM 1.2) Hi, I want to export all the contacts in CRM to the Outlook Global Contact, so all the non-CRM-users can find contacts with there phonenumber etc. There is no support for this at all in CRM 1.2 I can do this manually. First export all the contact to Excel and from there back in Global Contact. Now the problem is the 'Save as'-field. You can only set this field by opening the contact, set the field and save it. For one contact is this no problem, for 5000 contacts it is. When I import the contacts I can't set the value of this field. It has a default value, but I need another one. While trying to connect the database I get the following error: On the computer with SQL server full text indexing must be implemented. The indexing service is installed.     - Warning message when sending e-mail via mail Merge I've been sending emails to a group of contacts through MS CRM 3.0 e-mail via mail merge and after finishing the email in Word, I got the following warning message "A program is trying to automatically send e-mail on your behalf. Do you want to allow this." It seems to be a Microsoft Office Outlooks warning (I'm using the version 2003 sp2) and i have to confirm every single email one by one which is a bit annoying when there is few hundred emails to send. I got the warning when the type of the email is plain text. If I change the type to HTML everything goes fine.     - Re-enabled user account cannot log in In trying to troubleshoot and issue in CRM where I had multiple user accounts for a single ADUC user, I tried disabling and re-enabling a user's account. But even after re-enabling the account the user cannot log in now. The error message says that it is disallowed when he tries to browse to the CRM server.     - Multiple appearances of a user I am trying to get up to speed on CRM to administer it for my company. We have several users including users I added to CRM myself that have multiple appearances in CRM for the same user name, but with different role assignments and all for a single ADUC account. This also eats up extra licenses in CRM. I can't figure out why or how these multiple accounts are being created when I know that I only created a single user account with the Deployment Manager.     - Error in Replying All to email in History in CRM 3.0 - Help! My client was trying to create a 'Reply All' to an email in history, the email having many recipients in it. So my client just clicked Reply to All and typed her message and sent it, but had this error: Duplicate Record: A record with these values already exists. A duplicate record cannot be created.     - Small Business Edition and Server 2003 Enterprise I see a few vague references that small business server is suggested for the Small Business Edition of CRM 3.0, but can't see anything that says it won't work.     - Relationship replaces related contacts in opportunites in V3.0.... I need some help...in V1.2, you could relate Contacts to opportunites....in V3.0, this has been replaced by "relationships" which is fine except...I have a customer who used the Contacts view in Opportunity to display info on related contacts such as job title, address, phone, etc....I just edited the Contacts associated view to disply this info and it saved their call center reps a few clicks by not having to actually open the contact record just to verify or see this info. Now, if they want to see that info, they have to open the contaqct record from the Relationship view. Here is my question, is there a way that i can add the full contact link back into opportunities? I'm thinking maybe I can by defining a relationship and mappings via Customizations.     - CRM 3 Custom Entity Edit and Delete I've created two custom entites which one relates to the other (many to one). When I create a new record on one of them (the one) I can select from the side menu bar a view of the other one (the many). I am able to create a new record from this view but I cannot edit or delete the record once it is created. If I do the same relationship and configuration between a custom entity and a system entity (the system being the many) I am able to create, edit and delete the system entity records from the same type of view.     - Why cannot I create a case while filling 'Regarding' field I am trying to associate an email with some issue I am working in. I good place for it seems to asssociate this emai not only with a contact but a case. When the issue is new, I would like to be able to open a new case using regarding field but new case in greyed out. What is the business logic behind it (I am sure there is a good explanation by MS)? Are there ways around? When we are saying CRM 3.0 is so much better than MS 1.2 (I am the first on line to confirm that statement), we need to prove it to people, and this is not a perfect example.     - Populate phone call activity info into a case Since it does not appear that you can open a case from a phone activity, is there a way to create a rule that: 1. Open a case with the sender(caller), subject, and details of the call populated. 2. Open a case and will allow a user to choose another user to assgin this case to. 3. (3) -If you choose not to convert all incoming e-mail, you can manually track individual e-mail messages in Outlook as an e-mail activity in Microsoft CRM. This is rather confusing. This seems to imply I can automatically convert email that has the tracking ID (2) and (B), without pressing the 'Track' button. However the only options that seem to work are (1) and (3).     - DTC Service Failing Regularly We use the Integration for Great Plains with CRM 1.2. Recently the Distributed Transaction Coordinator (DTC) Service on our integration server has started failing regularly several times a day. DOes anyone have any ideas as to what might be causing this? Once it fails it causes all the integration's scheduled jobs to fail and extremely high LSASS activity (about 60% CPU constantly).     - Can't access CRM from IE - page not displayed This is a problem I'm having with CRM version 1.2. On one of my client machines, I can't access CRM using IE. I get the "page not displayed" error. I only have this problem on one out of 82 clients. The other 81 client machines can access CRM without issue. On the problem machine I tried pinging the CRM URL...no problem...it returned the correct IP address of my CRM server. I even tried turning off the firewall, all popup blockers, removed the CRM url from trusted sites, and checked the hosts file for problems. Has anybody else had this problem? I'm stuck and can't think of what else to try...except reformatting the laptop. This is a brand new Dell laptop by the way running XP SP2...just like the other 81 laptops in our organization. When a user trying to run some reports on their desktop (even in the Server), they get this error: The property â??nullableâ?? of report parameter â??CRM_Localeâ?? is set to false. However, the corresponding parameter (default) value is null or contains an empty string. (rsProcessingError) Get Online Help â?¢ Iâ??m having this error particularly on the Sales History out of the box report. â?¢ I've tried checking it using the Administrator account that installed the CRM 3.0 but it is working fine. â?¢ I've tried Logging in the CRM 3.0 as the user then let the browser prompt when accessing and running the REPORT ITSELF, then I put in the Administrator account and it runs okay. o So obviously it's on the Authentication/Security issue. o But, I already gave the user, ALL the roles and privileges available (including administrator role) but it still did not resolve the problem. o I also made sure that in the ReportingGroup in AD, the user is already a member of and this Group is already set in the Reporting Services Report manager. o It seems to me that it doesnâ??t seem to receive the parameter being passed when the User identity is used. I have ran out of ideas and way to check and fix this. I noticed that this has been an unresolved and left with no reply in the Forum/Newsgroup so I decided to post this again. Is this a known issue? What is the feedback from Microsoft? Hope you can help me.     - KDC event log error 11 I have a client that has installed MS CRM 1.2 on SBS 2003 PE. It looks like a bad install. It appears they may have even installed it twice because there are 2 x â??CompanyX CRM version 1.2â?? websites in IIS (one installed over the top of companyweb), and their RRW doesnâ??t work. They didnâ??t set up a new user to run the CRM service - they installed as Administrator and CRM uses that. They are getting KDC error's in the event log (event ID 11) and have complained about authentication errors. There are several different SPN's listed in the event log as being duplicated. The errors look like this: "There are multiple accounts with name host/companyX.companyX.local of type DS_SERVICE_PRINCIPAL_NAME." Other accounts mentioned in similar error messages include: HOST/companyX cifs/companyX cifs/companyX.companyX.local ProtectedStorage/companyX.companyX.local (companyX is both their SBS server name and domain name) I have run a â??LDIFDE -f domain.txt -d DC=companyX,DC=localâ?? to export AD info and found that the SAMAccountName: Administrator has the following SPNâ??s: servicePrincipalName: HOST/ COMPANYX servicePrincipalName: HOST/companyX.companyX.local 1. Should I go ahead and use ASDI Edit to delete one of these SPNâ??s? If so, which one â?? or is it a case of deleting one and seeing if the CRM services restart? 2. When i open MIcrosoft CRM i get the following error message:

Microsoft CRM Authentication Error The trial installation of Microsoft CRM
has expired.

can someone please help???

I got the same thing yesterday on my EAP/RC1 version. Looks like the
time is up for that beta. I had to uninstall. Will reinstall RTM
version. Fortunately, the other virtual server has RTM - I hope you're
not using this in production.... HTH,

This was after installing the "normal" version. Not the Beta version.
