    - Change "Account" to "Company" in Navigation pane Ok, what am I missing here. We don't want to call companies "Accounts". So I went and changed the "Account" Entity "Name" field to "Company" (and the corresponding plural name to "Companies". However, in the navigation pane, it still shows up as "Accounts".     - Email Tracking We're having problems with inbound email not tracking in CRM. I've verified out setup based on the implementation guide (install location, server side rule, users set to accept all unsolicited emails, etc...) and inbound emails don't get tracked in CRM. We have tracking tokens off. When I log into the CRM mailbox, the majority (99%) of the emails forwarded end up in unresolved. Anyone else having problems with inbound email tracking?     - Quick Campaign Notes do not list in the contact directly Hi, I have no glue if I do make something wrong or this is by design: When I make notes to a contact within a quickcampaign this note is not in the history and it is also not in the main notes of the contact. IMHO notes to a contact of anything should be found in the main notes, no matter where the come from. The problem is that the permissions seem to get confused. Eg Buttons missing/menu items from the web client. In many cases it seems if the user logs in via the web first, everything works OK, but if they later launch ouitlook, it removes some functionality from the web client.     - MS Outlook toolbar does not have CRM toolbar installed I have a user running on a XPSP2 machine with Outlook 2K3 with CRM 3 installed. The CRM install is for online only. Recently, the ability to 'track in CRM' has not been functioning. After looking at the laptop myself, the CRM toolbar is enabled however nothing in CRM is functioning. It will highlight as you move the cursor over the different buttons but nothing responds. All updates have been installed and there is only one patch for CRM installed, KB913270. I've checked Event Viewer and do not see any errors. I have also tried disabling and then enabling the tool bar again with no change. Has anyone had this problem or seen this before?     - Design question - millions of records pushed against 'product'? A general design question - I'm working with a web search/aggregator company that generates millions of chargeable click events/month - say between $.10 and $1.00 per click, i.e., non-trivial valua. Each click is generated by a customer ad campaign that is defined in CRM. (Btw, I'm new to Dynamics CRM - but have worked with multiple other CRM platforms.) At present, in the last architecture we took these into a 'warehouse' and then built extracts on a monthly basis to take to Dynamics for invoicing - a very manual process. One idea going forward (with Dynamics CRM in the picture) is to take this click stream and map it back directly to the campaign (or 'product' in CRM) on a regular basis. This would allow direct access to campaign/product performance and much easier invoicing - and also future BI potential as well... 1) Any scalability problems with pushing millions of records/month into Dynamics accounting/CRM?     - Appoint Synch Question We have User A enter in appointments through CRM for User B. Once the sync occurs and User B is in Outlook, the appointments appear on User B's outlook calendar. We have an issue though when User B is out of the office and User A schedules an appointment for them. User A usually checks User B's Outlook calendar prior to scheduling appointments. If User B isn't online, then User A cannot see the appointments that have been recently scheduled for User B and proceeds to add an appointment for a time slot that may already be reserved. Is there anyway around this issue? Is there a way to synch the Outlook calendar behind the scenes for a user that isn't currenlty online? We are not using the Go Offline feature.     - Upgrade to Office 2k3 breaks the laptop version of CRM We are currently upgrading from Office 2k2 to 2k3, when the installation of Office 2k3 is completed and the machine has been restarted CRM no longer functions, toolbar and menu item are disabled and no folders for CRM are accessible. We ran a repair which has fixed the Desktop client, unfortunately this does not work with the laptop client. On the two laptops we have upgraded so far it throws up the following error when you try to repair CRM: Could not locate the microsoft.crm.metadatahelper.dll file verify that everyone has read access to this file on the source disk. The only solution we can find at the moment is to uninstall everything related to CRM, remove the CRM databases etc and then reinstall CRM, this would abviously be nice to avoid as we have around 100 laptops to do.     - How to Check if an opportunity has been Idle for a set time Hi, I need to create a workflow that sends an email to the record owner if the Opportunity has not been modified for 42 days (6 weeks). Is it really so that when a user wants to manually track incoming mails in CRM by "Track in CRM" button, the original date of the message is not stored in CRM? The only date that is stored is the date that the tracking was done? If I e.g want to track an email that i received last week, only todays date would be stored? This is not good. When you want to lookup records for example in the advanced find you get a dialog where you have a searchbox at the top and two listboxes where you can select and deselect items. In german, this dialog has the title "DatensÃ¤tze nachschlagen". You can customize the view of the left listbox with the view "search view" (in german "Suchansicht") of the desired entity. There you can define the display order of the columns, the columns you can search in and the sort order. But in this dialog, CRM only minds the display order of this view. it ignores the columns you can search in and the sort order. CRM f.e. only lets you search in the first column shown. it also doesn't show any scrollbars so if you want to show more infos here, it's impossible. I'm not 100 percent sure, but a collegue of mine also told me, that this dialog also doesn't resolve lookup-fields, if you want them to show up in this listbox. It only shows the GUID as plain text.     - Problem with CRM 3.0 with 64 bit AMD database server Hi. we have implemented a CRM installation to a customer. The CRM server is 32 bit 2 processor Xeon processor. The database server is AMD 64 bit 2 processor server with 8 GB Ram. =DDt runs SQL 2005. there is a web interface which is used by external users such as vendors and resellers. they search for the customers and cerate orders for them. there are Mobile phones using a JAVA application. orders are sent to the JAVA applications on phones and they update orders. There are 2000 phones and 300 vendors. The external users have an ISS server different from that of CRM. The problem is that, CRM freezes sometimes. the performance was perfect about 3 weeks ago but not the prformance sucks. It takes about 10 minutes to make a record, it took less than half a minute. the database sometimes cannot respond to the queries. CRM cannot read or write from/to the database. The web interface can read but cannot create and write when the prformance leak happens. The CPU consumption of the database server is 100% even though nothing else is done but SQL runs. more than 7 GB ram of the 8 on the server is used. The server is AMD and 64 Bit, a state of the art server. we cannot solve the issue. What can the source of this problem be? The database freezes from time to time, generally more than once a day and 60,000 orders are processed a day. our customer and we are having great difficulty. Also, the problem seems to have started parallel to the cata migration. We had migrated the data of the past year into the SQL. it is more than 2 million records.     - Using contacts across Business Units Hi CRM gurus, does anybody know how to setup the business unit structure for the following scenario in MS CRM 3.0: one parent organisation with two childs (business unit A and B). members of the parent should see all contacts members of business unit A should see only their records and NO records of business unit B members of business unit B should see only their records and NO records of business unit A so far no problem to set this up, but here comes the real problem. In addition to the contacts of business unit A and B there are around 10.000 contacts, which should be seen and used by all members of business A and B. To mention once more only those 10.000 contacts should be used by both business units. I know, that one alternative is to use the share function, but this solution doesn't to be practicable. I have this same exact error, it's driving me nuts. I've uninstalled &
reinstalled V3CRM, and applied Rollup 2.

Anyone exncountered this/have anything I can try??
