Hi

Can anyone please explain to me how you can edit the navigation pane? ie. A
certain user may only see accounts, contacts and campaigns in their
navigation pane while another user may see accounts, contacts, campaigns and
products in their navigation pane?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Mark

Mark,

Hope I'm understanding you. The roles the user is assigned to determines
what they see in CRM.

Hi

Thanks for your reply. I am familiar with the roles but I would like to know
how to customize the navigation pane so that a user will, in the Sales
Module, only have access to contacts and accounts and these two options are
the only two displayed in their Navigation Pane.

Another user may have access to Contacts, Accounts and Quotes and these
three options will be displayed under Sales in their Navigation Pane.

I have noticed that if you deny permissions when a user tries to access
accounts for example an error message is displayed stating 'Insufficient
Permissions" although they still may see accounts displayed in their
Navigation Pane.

Is this achieved the ISV config option perhaps? and if so what does this
involve?

Thanks a lot

Mark
