EXCEPTION_ATL Error

Dear all,

when i try to install trial copy of Microsoft CRM 3.0 professional edition
on windows server 2003 SP2 in my test environment, i Received the following
error after inserting the trial copy licence key:

EXCEPTION_ATL
For additional details see logfile c:\documents and
settings\Administrator.Domain\Application
data\microsoft\MSCRM\logs\crm30svrsetup.log

Any help is appreciated please.

have you seen the log file, whats it saying, might be some configuration
missing.

please see implementation guide and follow that for CRM 3.0

Was the CD in the drive when you pressed add on the license screen? I
have received this error before because I took the CD out of the drive
while adding the key. Try copying the CD key to notepad and copy
paste it into the license screen while leaving the CD in the drive.

Hi Scoot and Imran,

Thanks for your responses, but actually, i downloaded the trial copy from
the MS website. and i follow the implementation guide strictly, and my
hardware and software requirements are met according to the specification in
the implementaion guide. So i tried running the setup from the
ServerSetup.exe file, after installing all the pre-requisites. thats how i
came about this error. Please any further explanation on how to solve the
problem is appreciated.

Can you post the contents of the log file that the error is directing
you to review?
