Dash (-) characters keep reappearing in record fields.

Hi,

Strange one this.

We have a MSCRM 3.0 install which seems to have the following problem.

I open a record (contact), remove the dash (-) character from the phone
number field, save and close the record and all seems fine. I open the record
back up and the dash character has sucessfully been removed.

However, if I come back to the same contact record about 5 to 10 minutes
later, the dash has reappeared in the telephone number field!!! There are no
workflows running, nor is any one going into the record and updating
manually. It only seems to be dashes as we've changed other fields and it
seems fine with them.

Any pointers/help would be greatly appreciated as we're going bonkers trying
to figure this one out.

What is really weird is that I have clients asking for this feature and it
is not standard ;) Any custom scripts?

Hi Brian;

We have a similar problem with the notes for activities. Changes seem to be
getting rolled back overnight or after a period of time. We've had no
resolution to this problem.

Are you by any chance running a clustered database? We have a handful of
customers up on v3 now, and the only one with this strangeness happens to be
clustered.
