I was wondering if there was a way to create a custom attribute type. I would
like to be able to add a type which allows for check boxes. I like the "bit"
type but it only allows for two choices and it must have a default answer.
Thanks

Carsten,
Thanks but I do not have a type of boolean as a choice in the attribute
type. Maybe I need to clarify myself. I go into customization - select a
entity -click on new attribute and my choices are Ntext, Bit, pick list etc.
Not sure if this helps.

Thanks

If you want a checkbox just add a new attribute of type boolean. Place it
within a form and click on it. Now take a look at settings of this field.
There you can define yes/no | checkbox | picklist

Best regards

Sorry - you add an attribute of type "bit" - then act like description. Or
just take a look at the attribute donotallowbulkemail you´ll find in the
contact entity. The behavior that it looks like a check box and not yes/no
you´ll define on the settings after you´ve added the attribute on a form.

Best regards

Hi Terry,

When you create the attribute, you can select the type as bit. You can then
add it to the form and specify how it is to be rendered on the form
(bit/picklist/checkbox). This can be done by accessing the settings of the
field after adding it to the form.
