Does anyone know why the Crystal services would fail during
installation??

It's saying that the user may not have sufficient privileges, but the
user account is a domain admin, and a local admin...??

Surely it won't let you start installation if the user doesn't have
enough rights???

Any help will be most appreciated

Ben

I had this problem today, it's only taken about 7 hours to resolve, easy when
you know how:

The issue is Windows 2003 SP1:

Microsoft Service Pack 1 Installs a new feature called DEP (Data execution
Prevention),
Unless new services are added to this feature, they may not be able to gain
access to run.

To do this, Right Click on My Computer and select Properties.
Select the Advanced tab and under the Performances section.
Click on settings.
Select the Data Execution Prevention tab.
The Add button the bottom allows you to add the service exe's and make sure
the check mark
is in the box. Do this for each service.

Please note however you will not see the DEP tab if Service pack 1 is not
installed.

Rob,
I hadnt checked back on this thread till now. Your right SP1 it was, i
re-installed 2003 and installed CRM then upgraded to SP1, worked a
treat. very annoying though.

Cheers for your reply
