Anyone else been successful using Crystal 10 with CRM
1.2? I've purchased Crystal 10 to modify reports, but I
can't install the CRM enhancements, it keeps giving me
the "you have 9.0.2 and need 9.2.2" message.

Crystal tech support states that 10.0 does work with CRM
1.2 and has been unable to figure out the issue.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Its possible that CRM is looking at the registry which in my case says 8.5

its a risk but you could try changing the entry under

hkey-localmachine-software-crystal-decisions etc to 9.2.2
and see if it will then load

Hi John,

Thx for the response. I finally heard back from MS, they
said Crystal 10 isn't supported with 1.2. I need to
purchase 9.2.2.

For everyone else's benefit, the Crystal website is
misleading. Version 10 does not work with CRM 1.2

I also learnt that if you have a version of 9 but not 9.22 then Microsoft
MBS can supply a specific 9.22 version. Of course you need to load it with
your own license key etc

I had to contact Crystal to get 9.2.2. I already had a
license for 9.0 and the product key worked in 9.2.2. I
did not have to pay for another license. In fact, I was
able to download it from the Crystal FTP. Once I
installed this, the Crystal Enhancement installed
successfully. Also, 9.2.2 is a version of 9.0. So, if
you have 9.x on your machine, you will have to uninstall
it.
