    - Do all fields have "onchange" event script blocks?? Hi, I was wondering if there are onchange event handlers for all fields in CRM? I need to automatically send an email from CRM when the "statuscode" of an Incident changes to "Closed", which is a value that I added to the schema. I have seen onchange script blocks in other objects like the Contact object for the "accountrolecode" field, but there doesn't seem to be one for the "statuscode" field in the incident object?     - "empty" picklist value Hi All, I'm trying to create a picklist which has an empty element. This could be used whether the user does not know which value fit to the data. Eg.     - Mail Merge in browser Hi, In MS CRM you can use mail merge with the SFO-client and direct e-mail in the browser. Now I'm using the c360 Search Pac for selecting the contacts, but this only works when it is in a browser. I want to mail merge the selection made with the Search Pac, but can only select direct email. Is there a way I can use the mail merge function in the browser (and the direct email in the SFO)?     - Email Router Install/General Permissions Problems While investigating the a problem of being unable to install the email router i have stumbled across a strange situation. The problem with installing the email router is the normal error message - server cannot be found or you do not have permission etc. I followed the 14 points here http://groups-beta.google.com/group/microsoft.public.crm/msg/7c47b47a99133d56?q=exchange+email+router&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&rnum=1 I cannot get any xml data at the 2 pages mentioned but everything else is in order. my .srf mapping was missing but its been added ok. This is all installed on an sbs2003 server so going back to basics i tried to open crm on the server while logged in as administrator. i was prompted for a user name a password. i entered the admin user and pw and crm works. so i close IE and open it again and have to reauthenticate again. its as if the server isn't loggged on as admin and yet it is. anyhow, all i want to do is install the email router i dont care too much about whether the admin account/server has access to crm so i add my own domain account to the domain admins group (cos i know my crm works ok) and log back on to the server. so before i then try to install crm email router i check http://crmweb and guess what? same problem. So i removed myself from the domain admins agroup and the problem persists. now my own account gets an access denied error message from wherer i try to get onto crm even tho all i did was admyself to a security group and remove myself again. This all seems interlinked with the error i get when i try to install the email router. i.e. nothing as complicated and registering dlls and extension mapping, but just a permissions issue. anyone have any thoughts on the matter?     - Alternate Address Picker When in the customization tool, no mappings are visible from the Alternate Addresses table that exist to Quotes and Orders objects.     - Weird behaviour of crystal reports Hello, We have set up CRM quite according to the IG, but experience some weird behavior with crystal reports. Here is our usage scenario and the symptoms (not sure, what is relevant and what isn't): our users use crm mainly via the browser interface while travelling around. Most of their laptops don't belong to the domain where crm and all its components are installed. However the users themselves exist in the AD, but have never logged on to the domain directly. While on the way using the browser the users cannot access the reports and get the error message: "Crystal Reports Logon Error. Please verify that you have enough Crystal lisences." However, if somebody accesses the internal Network (e.g. through Remote Desktop to some internal PC and using the browser there) and does absolutely the same he is able to see the Reports. After that he is also able to see the reports from a remote browser for a limited period of approximately 15 minutes until the error occurs again.     - Not all SFO Contacts are getting Account Field Populated Everyone, I have a number of SFO and all of them are getting about 10 - 20 % of their contacts sync'ed without the Account field populated. They have sharing rights assigned to them either by Group or individually. Interestingly, though, the VP and CEO, when they sync the entire list only get less than 1% without account field populated. Basically no problems with them. It appears to be a permissions issue, but I can't seem to find where they lacking any rights. Anyone have any ideas?     - .srf mapping - can't click 'ok' I have a problem installing the exchange email router and have followed the various suggestions all which lead me to adding the .srf mapping in IIS. The mapping is missing for whatever reason. When i try to add it manually, however, it just won't let me click on ok. I have checked and double checked the path to CRMISAPI.DLL but it wont accept it.     - sales standard process and the effect of manual probability changes Hi all, We use the sales standard process for our opportunities. Through the onChange Event (Javascript) the sales stage code affects the probability. E.g. (stages & probability) 00-Not Started - 0% 01-Contact - 5% 02-Initial Meeting - 10% etc. So if a user selects stage 01 from the sales stage code picklist the probability field gets the value of 5%. However, we've discovered that if a user first selects a stage and then MANUALLY changes the probability, the onChange Event no longer affects the probability. Is there a way to keep the onChange Event working, although a user has manually changed the probability once or twice (because the default probability for the stage was not appropriate)? Or does a one-time overrule means that the probability will stick to the applied value (although you'd expect it to change onwards along with the change of stage)? Thank you for replying.     - CRM can't start Outlook to import contacts. I am having a weird problem. I am trying to get CRM to import contacts that are in Business Contact Manager. When I try the import process and have CRM get them from BCM in Outlook, when it tries to start Outlook, it comes up with an error message that it could not start Outlook, it might not be installed.     - Page cannot be found; "you don't have sufficient security privilag I have remove and installed crm ans sql 3 times now. I keep getting to the same spot. When entering http://server I get the login server.domain\administrator. When I enter the password it comes back with Page cannot be found. when I try to run deployment manager and run add user wizard, I see the list of AD users but when I try to add a user to be a CRM user, I get the message of "you don't have sufficient security privilage to run the user manager...." I have SBS 2003, and SQL+SP3 and CRM are on a win2K3. I don't have any workstations setup yet. this is still a test environment. some help would be great.     - Deployment tool cannot publish customization I've re-installed my CRM using existing databases on a website I created with port number 4000 (As prep for deploying CRM Mobile). Everything works fine except the deployment tool cannot publish customizations. I select the module to publish, try to add a CRM server to publish from and the deployment tool puts up a dialogue saying 'Looking for a CRM Server...' and then waits for ever. I've also noticed that the Workflow Manager and Monitor only find the server if I tell it to use the servername:portnumber rather than just the servername.     - Reassigning orders I have the following set up. Organization : business units (BU1) and (BU2) User1 belongs to BU1 and User2 belongs to BU2. The aim is to let User1 manage accounts and create orders and then assign the orders (after manual review) to User2. The constraint is, once the order is reassigned to User2, User1 should not be allowed to edit the order. I am trying to achieve this by following these steps: 1. Assign a role to User1 so that (s)he can update orders that belong to him/her only. 2. User1 logs in and creates an order. 3. User1 assigns the order to User2. 4. Admin logs in and removes User1 from the sharing list for the order. Thus, User2 now is the sole owner of the order. Now, User2 is able to access the order, which is what I want. But I am surprised to find that User1 can still modify the order. IS there any rule that creators of entities will always be able to edit it? Am I doing something wrong?     - SFO - router installation Hi All, We have a scenario where in we have 4 exchange servers present in the organization (all the 4 servers are in the same domain). Only one of these 4 have the ability to receive incoming mails from the internet whereas all 4 can send email to the internet.     - IE6 SP1 downloading problem Hello! I had FlashGet installed and uninstalled recently. After that, I noticed that when I click to download an .exe file, IE6 SP1 is not displaying the "Save to" window and I can see on the left bottom corner of the browser that it is silently opening the file. I opened registry editor to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Plugins\Extension\ and deleted the .exe key and restarted the computer. However, the problem is that the key is being recreating itself again and the problem persists.. Any ideas how can I fix this problem??? I looked around the internet and have not found any other case in which the key recreates itself..     - Changing ownership of Accounts I need to change the owner of all accounts in CRM to one Generic user. The sales team is no longer using CRM and I want to free up their licenses. I am having a problem with the fact that I can not change the owner of an account with out it changing the owner of any open or existing cases or activities. Yes, you might want the owner to trickle down but it is my customer care groups that have all these open tickets,not the sales team.     - transferring licenses between a family of companies company 1 bought too many sales pro licenses. company 2 needs more. Both cos are run by the same Board and owned by the same shareholders. I admin both implementations. We want new keys to reflect a new transfer of 12 sales pro licenses. We paid top price for close to 45 licenses. I was under the impression that I could still use the API from something like a batch mode in addition to under the CRM umbrella. No. Everything seems to work fine in the web client.

One thing that I did notice though, after going offline and then coming back
online then going back off again from the Sales for Outlook client it does
not go offline the first time I click go offline. However, the second time I
attempt to go offline it works. This also seems to create 2 new merge agents
whenever I view the SQL server replication monitor. I'm not sure exactly how
this is supposted to work but it would seem to me that the merge agent should
be able to be reused and not recreated.

This may be a separate issue but I wanted to make sure that I provided as
much info as I could.
