    - upgrade advisor So I've managed to get a Redeployment of my production server onto a test server using Redeployment Manager. Thanks to Matt Witteman's blog on filling in the holes on the Redeployment Documentation. I ran Upgrade Advisor and it failed with a Replication error. If you run into this, simply reference Article ID 872585 through CustomerSource on the Dynamics site and you should get through this pretty easily. So I have run Upgrade Advisor again and have now received a "Triggers are not consistent with CRM 1.2 triggers" - I am stumped and need help.     - redeployment 1.2 I just built a test server and used redeployment tool to migrate my corporate data over to this server. I followed the steps in the Redeployment Guide very carefully and was glad to see my familiar screen of Account information populate when I typed in the test servers name in the URL. However, when I click any of the Accounts to access them, it says "An error has occurred. For more information, contact your system administrator".     - opportunity relationship problem I am trying to assign relationships to opportunities as follows: Two opportunities to (within the opportunity form) Potential Customer (account) "1" with the same relationships to accounts as follows: Relationship to account "2" with customer role "A" Relationship to account "3" with customer role "B" i.e. I have two different opportunities that are mapped to the same potential customer with relationships to the same accounts with same roles. When I open account "2", then select "Opporunities" on the nav pane, and change the view to "All Affiliated Records", I get the error "A record with these values already exist. A duplicate record cannot be created. Select one or more unique values and try again." This error occurs for all filter selections ("won", "lost", "open" and "all").     - Exchange Router Installation 3.0 Hi, I have a 1 fornt end exchange server and 3 backend exchange servers(clustered) where user mailboxes reside. The crmmail box (not CRM user mailbox) created resides on the 1st Exchange server in the cluster. 1- Where will I install my exchange router.     - CRM Upgrade Advisor I am doing a test run on my CRM develoment server and I receive the following error result, "The stored procedures in the CRM database are not consistent with CRM 1.2 stored procedures" Any thoughts on this, it states in the advisor that this is an issue that will not cause upgrade problems, but I'd like to have no warnings prior to the upgrade.     - active contract Hi guys I am coding an application to migrate our data from a bespoke system to CRM and it appears that I need to set my contracts to active state before I can assign cases to them. However I always get the following error when I try to set statuscode on the contract object (I actually get the error when I try to save though). "State code is invalid or state code is valid but status code is invalid for a specified state code" Does anyone know what i am doing wrong?     - Is it a bug or just us? We just upgraded out 1.2 installation (which worked fine) to 3.0. I have found one procedure that is erroring out. Can some of you folks test this and see if your's does the same thing? Or maybe you might have a suggestion as to what the problem is before I start jumping through hoops with PSS. :-) First, go to teh service area. Next create a new case and save and close it. Select "Activities" under details. Create a new activity of type "Task" Fill in some bogus info (doesn't matter how much data you enter). Next on the file menu select "Save As Completed". This throws an unspecified error (even when detailed error messages are tuned on in the web.config file). Anyone else get this?     - National Do Not Call Registry Has anyone found an easy method to search CRM for phone numbers of the National Do Not Call Registry?     - CRM 3.0 e-mail not being distributed We have installed CRM 3.0 and I have created a campaign and the associated activities, marketing lists, etc.. Once I distributed the e-mail campaign, the e-mails showed up under the "E-mail Messages Created" details under the Campaign Activity. The e-mails have "CRM:000200.." concatenated to the subject line and have a status of sent but they have not been received. I sent the test e-mails to my company e-mail account. The CRM-Exchange E-Mail Router Service is started and we could not find any errors that were logged.     - Non Sales use of CRM 3.0 - such as vendors Does anyone know if there is an Add-on to enable us to include non sales or services actvities in CRM 3.0? For example, many CRM customers need to record details of purchase enquiries and later raise purchase orders. Rather than have a CRM system that holds just sales and service information they would like to have a one stop solution to hold other information as well. Other CRM systems provide a general ACTION type table which can hold many different types of activities such as purchase enquiries, purchase quotations, Purchases orders, Seminar attendence etc. Obviously they could just add each of these as an activity attached to a given account but this is not really satisfactory as later they might not remember which account (vendor) they purchased a given item from. If they have an ACTION table they can quickly focus in on all purchase enquiries straight away. If there is no such Add-on and you agree with us that there is such a requirement please respond and we will create one for the CRM community.     - Ability to attach Outlook email items to an Activity The Attachment functionality allows attaching any browseable artificate in the system, i.e. documents, presentations, etc. Emails in their native form are not a tangible, browseable artifact and consequently cannot be attached. Emails can be imported into the Application as Activities with Email content stored in text fields. The requirement is to be able to browse through the email items (similar to attaching items alongwith a mail in Microsoft Outlook) and attach them.     - Errors when saving under CRM 3.0 within Outlook I am getting errors while trying to save any type of record in Leads and Activities. The error message gives me the option of Retry or Cancel. 25% of the time Retry works. More often - I am forced to Cancel and I loose the information in the Lead or Activity that I am trying to save.     - Looking for recommended procedure... I have a customer with a 1.2 environment that wants to move to 3.0 The 1.2 environment is in a child domain (native, obviously) and they want to move to the parent domain and eliminate that child domain. The parent domain is not native, so a reinstall of 1.2 isnt an option to upgrade. I need to keep the data, any customizations can go away\be recreated. Secondly, in trying to upgrade the 1.2 install in the child domain, the upgrade failed with an error complaining about a 'NAME' field or table. I tried the upgrade wizard and got no complaints, but bombed part way thru the real deal. I have a copy of the backup files for the MSCRM and metabase databases here, so I'd like to play with as much as possible, so I'd love to hear some ideas. Thanks!     - Authentication Error. CRM could not log you on to the system. Hi. I'm having a problem with a new CRM 3.0 installation. The configuration is as follows: CRM, SQL 2000 sp4 & Active Directory are all on separate machines running Windows Server 2003 sp1. The error I'm getting when I attempt to browse to the CRM website is: Authentication Error Microsoft CRM could not log you on to the system. Make sure your user record is enabled and that you have been assigned at least one security role. For more information, contact your system administrator. After opening Deployment Manager the following error appears: The server http://crmserver:5555/MSCRMServices/ is not responding. This might happen if it is currently unavailable, it is not a Microsoft CRM server, or you do not have sufficient privileges to run User Manager.     - Mapping a New Contact from an Account Version1.02 query (while we impatiently await 3.0) I've successfully mapped 99% of the fields I need from an Account to a new Contact of that Account. The one thing I am missing is filling the Parent Account field in the Contact. I succeeded in doing it once, but could not save with a Platform Error..     - Error importing customizations After succesfully redeploying databases on a different server I installed Microsoft 1.2. When I import the customizations I get the message: Import completed with errors, please see event log for details. In the event viewer I get the following message: Schema Editor failed to add the following attributes : CFPaddress1_country,CFPaddress1_region, (etc.) But in my tables and forms I can see all the fields that were created.     - SFO: What's the auth differences btw the Online and Offline Instal Why would online installs of SFO connect and function properly without problems but installs using the offline install fail to connect to the CRM server on the same network? I ask because on machines with the offline installs, we get the famous message "There is a problem communicating with the CRM server, please contact your system administrator."     - Importing CRM V3 - Invalid Argument Trying to import accounts in to V3 I tried about 20 sample records and it worked fine. I then added categories and industry to the main CRM app to include all the items in my data. I ran the import, it goes to where I match up the items, then as soon as I click import I get "Invalid Argument" dialog box. Nothing else happens and that's it? Anyone have an idea whats going on?     - Changing Username in AD will it effect CRM web site access If I change a username will it effect access to MSCRM? Though not the same issue we ran into a problem last year when a user account was deleted from AD, and after re-creating the account it messed everything up to where I could not unassign the CRM license in CRM to the AD account that no longer existed and the new one would not login to CRM.     - CRM 1.2 to 3.0 Upgrade Hello Everyone, I'm currently using CRM 1.2 on SQL 200 and 2003 Server and I have been testing the the 3.0 upgrade on a seperate SQL 2000 server also running 2003 server standard in the same domain I'm able to move the the current 1.2 install and databases over to the test server using the backup and recovery procedure as described by Microsoft, and everthing works as it should on the test server and the production server as it should. When performing the upgrade to 3.0 on the test server everything checks out "green" during the pre-install checks. Then during the install it stops with the following Error message "Action Microsoft.Crm.Setup.Server.AddLicenseAction failed Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040216" After that it will not go any further in the install. Please help!
