    - Scheduling activities - promoting error All of our users are receiving an error when scheduling an activity in either CRM Client for Outlook or the web-based application. ALL users are assigned to the System Administrator role. Error in CRM Client: "An error occured promoting this item to Microsoft CRM. The Microsoft CRM server could not be contacted or the user has insufficient permissions to perform this action. This item has been saved to Microsoft Outlook but is not being tracked in Microsoft CRM" Error in Web-based application: "An error has occured. For more information, contact your system administrator." A second window then appears: "General failure in scheduling engine". I've done a repair installation on the CRM server without resolve.     - Co-Existance with Project on Same Server? Hello, We're a small company who is an MS partner and are looking to deploy CRM for our sales staff. While we are aware that you cannot have CRM and Exchange on the same server, we would like to consolidate some of our internal services to a singlular server. I am curious if Project Server and CRM can co-exist peacefully on the same server or not?     - Cannot import customisations - various errors Well, I have created solution for a client which is currently running at 44 custom entities, including lots of changes to views and forms, and lots of jscript to consistently fill the names of "join" tables based on selected lookup fields. I have exported all customisations but just cannot import them again, no matter what I try. I developed them on the May virtual pc, exported them, then started a fresh VPC (tried both may & feb) and attempted to import them. I have had the SQL timeout error, so I added the oledbtimeout=0x240 to the registry (Jo Savidge - March31), and tried again and it still times out. I have restarted the server after applying this, but I don't think it ever uses this new value. Maybe I've mis-spelt it? Then I have attempted to import them one at a time, starting on the entities with no dependancies but I can either still get a timeout, or get the enitities imported with the FK attributes imported but no relationships. Or I will sometimes get the error "A record with these values already exists. A duplicate record cannot be created. Select one or more unique values and try again." However as I'm only importing the entities' "metadata" rather than any records themselves, this error message leaves me a tad bemused and none the wiser. I would like to break up the import into pieces in order to understand where it's done something wrong, but this is hard because it seems that without all the related tables together, things like relationships can't be created. Is the import process thoroughly documented somewhere that I could read and maybe devise a more robust import scheme - maybe utilising the webservice methods to automate this process? I have put a huge effort into these customisations, their views, forms, relationships, jscipt, and sitemap. And phase 2 of the project was to add a similar number of entites bringing the total number close to 100. However without being able to rely on Customization Import to quickly apply these from development to test to production environments, this project is quickly looking vulnerable, and I will be left iwth much egg on my face.     - Add new field that is User Lookup I have had many clients that need to attach multiple users to a single account. What I mean is there is an Owner for every account . That can be used as the "Account Manager" But what if you also need to track a loan processor to the account... Not possible. Suggestion: Allow a new filed type that is simply the CRM user list.     - Offline Sync at Intervals I have many clients the have sales guys that are on the road constantly. They want to remain "Offline" with their Outlook most of the time. They constantly forget to press the "go online" to send data up to server. I would suggest having an option to send changes up to server (with out going back online) at specific intervals (30 min or 2 hours...). These guys are good sales folks but not aware of technology. Having to Go Online, then immediately Go Offline does not make since to them...     - PreCallout return messages I am trying to write a pre-callout routine. I have it working. When a certain condition is met, I return the abort return code and a message. Then I get this really bad end of the world type of screen from CRM - with my error in the middle. It looks like a exception was thrown, certainly not the nice little message that I provided.     - Ability to edit customer relationships It appears that regardless of what permissions a user has on the customer relationship entity, a relationship between 2 accounts/contacts cannot be edited unless you are the user that created the relationship.     - Outlook and CRM 3.0 Hello When an email comes in to this person's Outlook folder and she completes the regarding field and click "Track in CRM" or when an email comes in with an existing GUID, the email is not attached to the contact/case, etc. in CRM 3.0.     - Change default Contract View to Active instead of Draft When you are itn eh account view and select the contracts link the default view will show you DRAFT contracts instead of Active Contracts. Since this is a entity that is embedded within an Entity there is no way to modify the default view to show Active.     - Time Track and Billing I need to implement CRM that would generate quotes, track time and bill the clients. Right now, my company is using Footprints to track time, QuoteWerks to generate quotes, and QuickBooks to bill the customers.     - Full Text search in article doesn't work properly with national characters Hi, I work with MS CRM 3.0 English, it is running on Windows 2003 English Std and database server is SQL Server 2005 Std. When I publish article to Knowledge Base in English language full text search work fine. When I use in summary section of article national characters (Czech), full text on words with national characters doesn't work. I was looking for cause of this behavior and I found in database Company_MSCRM table DocumentIndex and column SearchText. In this column is all text of article and I see there words with national characters and before and after nation character are spaces, for example 'c lov e ka'. That is the problem, when I try look for 'c lov e ka', full text find record. Database, table and this column have collation Latin1_General_CI_AS, but column SerachText is type ntext and ntext is Unicode filed. Where is problem? Why word 'cloveka' save CRM as 'c lov e ka' ? So the Releationship from the contact object is not very difficult (service.RetrieveEntityMetadata(this.SourceType.ToLower(), CrmMetaData.EntityFlags.All)). I hope to be able to keep a chronology of Owners that were assigned to a
case. I am planning of attaching the owner to "Notes" each time the owner is
changed. Can anyone advice if this is possible and how do I go about it?

One option is to create the note via a workflow rule tied to the Assign
event. You could also use a PostCallout to do this.
