Changing textbox to picklist

hi
is it possible to change a textbox field with a pick list?
can u please explain how to do that.
i tried in the settings to change that but could find only textarea,email
etc..

As far as I know, this is not possible. Once you have done something with
the Schema manager, this is etched in stone. Can't delete them as well.

Hon is correct. One of the pains of version 1.0 of CRM is that you cannot
undo a schema change. We have a number of fields which we dropped into the
crm system then decided not to use. Hopefully a later version will allow us
to remove and clean up these fields

Hi Jack -

Do you mean fill in a textbox after a picklist is selected - if so - yes...
look in the SDK for "on change" scripts...

thanks all,
i thought of making the 'salutation' tetxbox in the Contacts
to a picklist.
hope this will be avaliable in the next version....

Yep - that will be an additional field of type picklist. Then you can
customize as per the norm...
