"Information is needed before this report can be processed" I get this error when I try to run a report through CRM that has been built with a stored procedure as the data source.     - SQL Server Security Setting Hi! I've been using a local administrator on the CRM server to run the deployment manager. To get this to work, I had to get my friendly DBA to grant me SA Administrator privileges in SQL Server. This works fine. But, he is unhappy about giving me that privilege indefinitely. The LAN administrators would prefer to keep me out of the Domain Administrators group as well. Does anyone know what security settings I could be using in SQL Server instead?     - CRM for Outlook Configuration Failed I uninstalled CRM for Outlook v1.2 I did not follow the steps on pg 376 of the implemenation guide. I uninstalled SQL first and then CRM for Outlook. I haev deleted the folders on step 5 and 6 I want to reinstall CRM for Outlook on my computer however it get an error message that it is already installed on my computer that another user is using it. I looked at my users and neither one of the programs are there. I tried to roll back windows XP to an earlier date and it will not let me.     - MSCRM 1.2 - Delete user In my test lab, I added a domain user via the Deployment Management snap-in. I later realized that the user's name was misspelled and deleted the account from AD. The user however was not deleted from CRM. In the settings portion of the CRM interface I saw the misspelled user and deleted him from there and yet the user still appears in the Deployment Manager snap-in.     - CRM 1.2 very strange error! I can access the web version of this CRM but I get "You do not have sufficient Microsoft CRM privileges to run the Workflow Manager. For more information, contact your system administrator." Well, I am the system administrator and I am logged in as the system administrator with full SQL and directory privileges...     - Estimated cash flow quarterly Is there any way I could add a quterly estimated cash flow field to an opportunity form? For example if we signed a contract and a client going to pay 50% up front (Q2 2004) and then another 25% in (Q3 2004), etc. Management wants to run a more accurate report on future cash flows. I could just add a custom field Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4 fields but it becomes a problem if it goes over a year.     - Loosing CRM buttons in Outlook at the time We are constantly loosing the CRM buttons in Outlook. Sometimes just going back in and checking the box under COM Add-ins works to bring them back, other times you have to do a Remove and Add to get them back, and sometimes when that doesn't work, we've had to uninstall and re-install.     - Checkboxes & multivalues Hello, CRM really is a great tool with easy-to-use UI designers and stuff. But I have to express serious concern about a "forgotten" functionnality. I looked for reference to my point in the present newsgroup and didn't seem find any post so here it is. How come CRM doesn't implement checkboxes and multiselection controls? Such a missing type of control is quite hard to explain. Let's suppose i'm a software creator, working on an opportunity and wishing to qualify the technical needs of my customer. The most straightforward way would be - with ASP.NET - to create a ListBox control or a CheckBoxList with this kind of values in it: - ASP.NET - Oracle - Sql Server - ASP - WinForms - VB 6 Using the standard tools provided with CRM, the easiest (and blatantly ugly) way to reach identical functionnality would be to create 6 boolean fields, which would be displayed as pairs of radio buttons.     - Subject line in CRM Appointments Our sales people are complaining that the Account Name and Account Number do not automatically show up in the calendar when setting up CRM appointments when they link it to an account. They must open the appointment up to see which account they are visiting or put the account name and number in the subject line. Is there a way to make it automatically put the account name and number in the subject line so it displays on the calendar??     - Access to email other users in other business units in CRM We set up our company as the parent business unit and had all of our territories set up as sub business units so that the regional sales people would have access to only the accounts in their business unit. The problem I am having is that when a sales person creates an email and selects to send to another user, only the users in his business unit are accessible to email to - which is nobody else.     - FYI: Saving to, then sending from Drafts 2/26/2004 9:53:00 AM CST -- Kris If you save a normal email, typically to the Drafts folder (this happens automatically after 3 minutes (the default)), then you go back in and open that email, it tells you that the message has NOT been sent. Once you have sent the email it moves it to the Sent folder. This, as you know, is normal behavior. If you go through the same process with CRM emails, first saving it to the Drafts folder, then you open it up, it DOES NOT tell you that it has not been sent. It does tell you when looking at the default Drafts folder view under the column "Sent", that it is 'none'. However, this is not truly accurate due to the next issue. And that is, once the CRM email has been saved (by default to the Drafts folder, but I tested saving it to the Inbox and experienced the same problem), and then at some point later you send it, the message IS NOT moved to the Deleted folder as all other CRM emails are, but rather a second copy of that email is created in whatever folder the original message was saved in and they BOTH say 'none' for having been sent. You cannot tell whether the message has been sent. To summarize this bug: 1) The saved CRM email needs to accurately depict the condition of the email (Sent or Not sent) 2) Sent CRM emails, after they have been saved, need to be moved to the Deleted folder as other CRM emails are and NOT create a second copy under the folder where the message was originally saved. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2/26/2004 12:38:00 PM CST -- MS Hello Kris, You have made a very good observation. I have been able to reproduce the issue in our test environment and will need to investigate the issue further with some additional resources. A temporary workaround would be to configure the folder to AutoArchive items after a certain time period. The least amount of time you can set would be one day. To set AutoArchive on this the Drafts folder, right click on the Drafts folder and select Properties. You should see the AutoArchive tab. Please let me know if you have any additional questions.     - SDK error -> HTTP status 401: unauthorized.source:System.web services Hi all, I am using the SDK to build a custom aspx page that simply extracts the 'fullname' of every user in the 'systemuser' entity and assign it to a particular field in the Opportunity form. This is because the client needs a user to be assigned to an opportunity as the owner of the opportunity will not necessarily be working on it. I have Visual Studio and therefore development performed on my local machine and MSCRM is installed on a virtual server. I have managed to bring the custom aspx page up from the MSCRM server without any issues but have not been able to make a connection as it comes up with the error: "The request failed with HTTP status 401: unauthorized.source:System.web services" I have referenced the Microsoft.Crm.Platform.Proxy and System.Web.Services in my solution and have no idea what needs to be done. I am thinking that something needs to be done with the IIS Security settings in the MSCRM server. I also however am thinking the problem lies within my own aspx implementation.     - Sending an email to another user I am trying within CRM to send an email to another user in a different business unit. Our company is set up as the main business unit with all of our territories set up as sub-business units. Thus we can give our sales people access to the accounts in their sub-business unit only.     - Add custom views to SavedQueries I'm building a custom object, and I'd like to give the users the ability to create and modify views that will determine the data displayed in your basic CRM grid list display. Has anybody figured out the secret to get data into the SavedQueries table? When I go to online (clicking the "go Online" buttong in outlook toolbar), I am getting "The specified domain logon name already exists. You must use a unique domain logon name or open the user record that is using this name already" error. become d:)to new drive (c:). Can I just restore from my
backup to the new drive? I particularly need MSN Explorer
and Outlook. If I cannot just restore without restoring
Windows, what do I need to restore?

This is the Microsoft CRM-Newsgroup. No WIndows 98/XP or MSN Explorer here
