After we installed IE7, all users started receiving a log in prompt
when attempting to access CRM through the Outlook client. None of our
IE settings have changed; we confirmed IE is still set to pass the log
in info to Intranet sites. Has anyone experienced this? What did you
do to solve the issue?

Have you entered the the url of crmserver ( http://crm:5555) in the
trusted sites of browser ? Or if you can verify it.

We have it in trusted sites under the server name. We aren't listing
the port. None of our settings have changed since IE 6.

And if I log into CRM via Outlook, I can close Outlook and reopen CRM
without having to log back in ONLY if I keep IE open the whole time.
As soon as I close IE and Outlook, I am again prompted to log in.

Hi Tricia,

Here are two things that you can check.

Tools --> Internet Options --> Advanced
1. Under Security, make sure that Enable Integrated Windows Authentication
option is Checked.

Tools --> Internet Options --> Security
1. Select and click "Trusted Sites" zone
2. click "Custom level" button
2. Under User Authentication make sure that you select "Automatic login with
current user name and password"

I found this kb on microsoft's site. We're going to give it a try and
see if it works.
