Hi Joe!
Thanks for your patience. This string is pretty long so I hope I have
re-read everything correctly.
Does this occur just when trying to logon to CRM? Or is this when you are
accessing reports?
If it is reports, then here are some things to try:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. First, try to access reports directly by going to
http://report_server_name/reports
If this does not open properly then we will need to go to the SQL Reporting
Services newsgroup for awhile.
If it does open, please try this:
1. Type the following address in a Web browser:
http:// SRS_Server_Name /Reports
Note SRS_Server_Name is the name of the SQL Server Reporting Services
server.
2. Click Organization_Name _MSCRM.
3. On the menu bar, click Show Details.
4. Click MSCRM_DataSource.
5. Verify that the connection string has the following parameters: ? Name:
MSCRM_DataSource
? Enable this data source: True
? Connection type: Microsoft SQL Server
? Connection string: "data source= Microsoft_CRM_SQL_SERVER_NAME ;initial
catalog= Organization_Name _MSCRM"
Note Replace Microsoft_CRM_SQL_SERVER_NAME with the name of the computer
that is running SQL Server and that contains the Microsoft CRM database.
Replace Oganization_Name _MSCRM with the name of the actual database that
is used. Remove the quotation marks.
? Connect using: Windows NT Integrated Security
6. Click APPLY.
Check for any Duplicate principal names by using this article:
To determine if there is a duplicate SPN entry and resolve this issue, use
the Ldp.exe tool to determine the location of the duplicate SPN value. Then
the Adsiedit.msc tool can be used to remove the duplicate SPN value.
Check to be sure at least one Domain controller is a global catalog server:
These steps can vary slightly between Windows 2000 and Windows 2003.
Use the following steps to create a Global Catalog:
1. On the Active Directory domain controller click Start and then select
Run.
2. In the Run window type dssite.msc and then click OK. This will start the
MMC snap-in Active Directory Sites and Services.
3. Next click the + to the left of Sites. Click on Default-First-Site-Name,
click on Servers and then click YourDomainControllerName. You will see NTDS
Settings. Right-click NTDS Settings and select Properties.
4. In the NTDS Settings Properties select the General tab. Check the box
next to Global Catalog. Click OK.
5. Close Active Directory Sites and Services.
6. When complete reboot the domain controller.
Please let me know if any of these works for you!
Kind regards,
Mike
