Is it possible this is an exchange issue i.e. it is blocking attachments
over 5mb?

Thanks for the reply john,

No it wasnt the exchange and before anyone reading this discards what i say
next please read it carefully.

It IS the Web.Config file (pay close attention to the case sensitive
spelling of Web.Config

I followed many instructions to change the web.config file but that is
infact the wrong file there is a second Web.Config which you must change as
well as changing the registy you can locate the file in

C:\Program Files\Microsoft CRM\CRMWeb\MSCRMServices

and change this string

<httpRuntime maxRequestLength="20402"/>

I changed it to 20mb which is shown above

Thanks for all your help
