Hello all,
Can anyone advise me on how I attach an email to a case? Im sure it is
simple but I seem to be missing the steps and obviously the know how. Thank
you.

For an e-mail in Outlook: Assuming you have a working Sales For Outlook
add-in, promote the email to CRM. Then, in the CRM web UI, locate the email
(it should be under the related contact's activity history). Open the e-mail
and in the "Regarding" Field, do a lookup. Select record type of "Case" and
type in the title of the case. Select the case from the results and click OK.
Now the email will show up in the case activities as well.

For an email already in CRM (such as in a queue): just do the lookup from
the regarding field and locate the case.

Hi Matt,

How do you do this for a simple mail that you want to keep in CRM regarding
a specific account.

Now the mail is in the queue, I did as you wrote and filled in the regarding
but the mail is still in the queue.

I'm new in MS CRM 3.0 but I'm sure it must be possible.

Thx!

Grtz,

Walter
