    - Static excel export is OK, but dynamic export fails? Anyone any ideas why a specific user can export a specific Saved View to a static Excel worksheet, but not to a dynamic worksheet?     - Make account History's view filter configurable to each user In CRM, when looking at the "History" details for an account, the default filter is "Last 30 Days". In my case, I would prefer to be able to configure my view to default to "ALL". But I can't configure to a personal default, just the system-imposed default of "Last 30 Days".     - CRM 3.0 fresh install, Outlook Client unable to connect w/o VPN After reading over and over the newsgroups, it appears that Outlook clients should be able to connect to CRM without a VPN; however, I have failed to do so. Here is the current setup. SBS2003 w/ Exchange 2003 running CRM router service 2003Server running CRM and SQL and SRS Internal LAN - Outlook and Web-Based crm (http://crm) functions without issue. External WAN - passing through Cisco Pix 501 (opened all neccessary TCP and UDP ports)....Outlook clients (on and off-premise setup) work without issue via the Microsoft VPN to the SBS2003 server. BUT, turn off the VPN, and I am unable to connect. I have found the w/o the VPN, I must move the http://crm.domain.com into the Trusted Sites vs. the Local Intranet to get the CRM to function. I have also found the authentication doesn't seeem to pass when on the WAN because you must enter home\username and pswd. Any suggestions? P.S.     - Users can't access CRM via a VPN connection Hi -- we're trying to set it up so our remote users can VPN into the office and use CRM via their Outlook client. We have CRM 3.0 and we're using a Check Point firewall. The CRM Outlook client works great when they're in the office but when they try during a VPN session they get the infamous error: "There is a problem communicating with the Microsoft CRM server. The server might be unavailabe..." Outlook connects to the Exchange server as it should -- but for some reason CRM won't work. I've already looked through the KB article 910090 and none of that applies here (besides -- none of those would apply since it's working from inside the network). I've also tried accessing CRM from the web client and that also fails. When I try going to the site by name it just says the site cannot be found. When I try by IP address we are prompted for a login but after entering that we get a "page is under construction" site. I can ping the server by private IP address during the VPN session and I can RDP to it. I tried putting in an entry in the hosts file but that didn't make a difference. Any other ideas? Thanks! So I also installed it on our production environment to solve the same problem.     - issues when two people use the "accept" button on the same queue t We use a lot of queues for our business to handle tasks and phone calls. When an employee is ready to perform a task, he or she will refresh the queue which holds the task, then accept the task. The problem is that if person A uses the "accept" button on an activity out of a queue and then person B accepts the same activity, the activity does not show up in either person's in progress queue--and it is missing from the originating queue. In fact, if you attempt to open the activity at that time (by navigating to it's parent) and assign it back to the queue, or any other user, it generates an error stating that you cannot do that when an activity is closed. The activity is not closed though; it is fully able to be edited / etc. It is easy to run into this problem, because if you have several people accepting activities in the same queue, you cant always refresh the queue fast enough to know if an activity has already been accepted or not.     - Outlook Client - Mapping - How does it work? Hi all, could anybody explain to me how Outlook &/or MS CRM 3.0 identifies the fields that are mapped please? I'm working on an Outlook Client implementation and will have to include extra fields in the synchronization. I've seen the post on how to show the Parent Account field, but need more info on how Outlook knows that FIELD X = FIELD Y in MS CRM (or the other way around)... The other problem we've come across is that a lot of our customised fields have an underscore in them (ie: PREFIX_FIELDNAME, with the prefix denoting that it's a custo). however, when I try to create a new field in Outlook, it refuses the underscore character.     - CRM and Outlook Calendar Sync. I am just starting out with using CRM. One issue I am having is that if you enter an appointment in your outlook calendar and "track in CRM" your fine.     - Can not send emails within Exchange accounts, but external emails work So basically I have setup some rules mainly for cases. Whenever a serious case is created I want certain people within the organization (MS Exchange server) to be notified. If I use an email address of anybody within the organization it doesn't work, but if I use an external account, like Gmail or Hotmail, the email is sent without a problem. On the CRM server, in the Events log under Applications, I'm getting a Usrenv Event id#1030 almost every 5 minutes, so not sure if that would affect sending emails to people within the same Exchange environment. I'm lost and any help would be appreciated. I'm running the latest version of CRM with all updates installed.     - Calculating Taxes in CRM Hi all, I am putting together some new reports for printing out quotes, etc for clients rather than exporting the data to excel, formatting and then sending out. I've got the reports from the Sandbox running, and I've modified them to our standards, but now I need to calculate taxes on the quotes for clients. In CRM, this is simply for show and tell, it doesn't mean anything to the bottom line since taxes have no bearing on the revenue of a company. GP sorts this out and accounts for it correctly on our back-end. Problem #1: We do business in more than one country (why CRM is US centric is beyond me in today's global business society), we are using c360's multicurrency add-in to deal with the four primary currencies we sell in, USD, CAD, JPY and EUR. We have offices in 7 different countries all using the same CRM system and we need to calculate taxes based on the local tax requirements. Problem #2: Dealing the additional tax line for GST/VAT/etc in overtaxed countries like Canada, UK, etc. My first instinct is to simply create a different quote report for each country that we sell in and calculate the taxes in each report, but as a perfectionist programmer, this seems a bit sluggish. I wanted to field some feedback on this first to see if anyone has any suggestions for handling this.     - Server Error in '/' Application Exception from HRESULT: 0x80044151 I can not find out what this error means let alone how to fix it. Randomly my users get this error when trying to access their activities folder in CRM. It could happen once a week or everyday then stop for a week, completely unpredictable. What I have been doing to get it back up and working temporally would be clearing the Application, System, and CRMExRouter logs.     - Restriction on appending data to custom fields on Account Form? I'm having problems appending data to a custom field on the Account Form. However, the code works perfectly on a custom form, I've made.     - security roles We have privileges (create, delete, update etc..) for all the MS CRM entities. I want to know how access level (user, business unit, parent-child, organization) will have an impact on the create privilege. Let us take an example with two users.     - CRM Problems Hello, We have implemented CRM 3.0 with two Web Servers, with NLB implemented, and one DB server. After about two to three weeks the Web servers will display the Error message below in the Sys Log and then the Reports function will no longer work. The servers have to be rebooted in order for the function to work again. DNS is maintained by a 3rd party appliance, not MS. I know this could be network related but have checked again and again and can't find anything. NIC drivers are one release back and there we no fixes listed for this kind of problem. Double Hop Kerberos authentication is set up from MS specs. I am assuming if this was incorrect it would not work from the beginning. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks. When creating a task in CRM, it is currently not possible to update Outlook
Task Fields such as Billing Information, Mileage and Schedule+ Priority,
which we currently have to do manually.

MS should allow many more Outlook fields to be updated with data fields from
CRM.
