I'm still investigating, but.......I think I may have found a bug.

On a quote, when I run "Look up Address" it brings everything in except the
fax. I tried different Accounts and always the same issue.

I even tried this one my test server and the same issue occurs.

Has this happened to anyone else?

CRM bug? by Dave

Hey Gary, Whaddyaknow - you actually found something that
ISN'T a bug... Here's the deal. The 'fax' field on the
standard account form, if you look at the Schema tab on
the Properties tab for that field, says it comes from the
field called 'fax'. NOT the field
called 'address1_fax'.

The fix is: If you re-label the 'fax' field (I
like 'DoNotUseFax'), remove it from the form, add
the 'address1_fax' field to the form, and relabel it
as 'fax', any number you enter in there will be brought
over when the lookup addresses from the quote page.

Have a good weekend,

Dave

heh, ok its not a "bug" by absolute definition, but this essentially says it
does NOT work straight "out of the box", which in my opinion is far worse
than a bug. If it was a bug you could call MBS and ask for a fix for
free........if you're a Managar who was expecting non-technical expertise to
operate CRM, you would be out of luck as you have to go out of your way to
fix.

CRM sucks, just admit it.........this is NOT acceptable
