    - User Access Error I get the following error message when typing http://localhost. I have installed the default system Adventure Works, have verified I put in the license and the name correctly. I have looked at Google/DejaNews but have not been able to find anything. I've spent a lot of time tinkering. Before I burn one of my MSDN calls to MS, I thought I might see if anyone had any thoughts. ---------------------- User Access Error The logged on user is either not a Microsoft CRM user, is disabled in the system, had not been assigned any security roles, or has not been assigned a license. ---------------------- I am working, for the first time with Windows 2003 and, for the first time, with Microsoft CRM. You can create an account and associate it with a primary contact but when you go to the contact the account information isn't there and you have to associate it back to the account.     - Exel's Custom toolbar I assinged a custom macro to a custom button on a custom toolbar in Excel and attach the toolbar to the workbook. But when I copy the workbook to a network location and then to user's computers the path to the macro is changed. So instead of the path being "Macro1" it changes to "C:\MyWorkbook!Macro1." When the button is pressed we get an error message that "MyWorkbook is already open" because it tries to re-open the workbook. I've tried everything to stop this. Even Microsoft is ignoring me.     - Going Wireless We are a small business, presently using laptops and running Windows 2000 Professional. We developed a proprietary program using Microsoft Access in Office 97, which we use to create "order" files (I believe these are .dbt files) which are sent to different offices worldwide as email attachments. The receiving office then downloads the files so as to become part of that office's "order" database. Here's the question.     - Can not login at customers site with Crystal I am at a customer site and can not use the Crystal special data source for CRM. Each time I try to login with the correct address on their network and a different user name as the data source allows you to do, I receive an error saying the user can not be authenticated.     - Custom Forms not installed When I installed Sales For Outlook (the june release) on a machine the user receives a "Custom Forms not installed" error every time they start up sales for outlook.     - Customizing Crystal Reports Hello. I am trying to customize the default CRM reports to include parameter fields which will allow users to view a specific subset of data. I am able to customize the report and when I open the report from CRM it correctly prompts me for the parameters. However when I hit "View Report" the following error is returned: "Error encountered by Crystal PageServer The error message returned is: File c:\inetpub\wwwroot\viewrpt.cwr not found.     - Task ownership changes when assigning opportunities We have a sales process that assigns tasks to different people for a single opportunity. For example, one person might be responsible for a phonecall confirming an appointment with the opportunity while the other person might be responsible for a task to meet with the customer. Let me see if I can simplify an example of a problem we are encountering: Opportunity X is owned by User A Sales process creates Task 1 for Opportunity X and Task 1 is assigned to [owner] (which is User A) Sales process creates Task 2 for Opportunity X and Task 2 is assigned to User B User A assigns Opportunity X to User C (through the standard web client) So now... Opportunity X is owned by User C Task 1 for Opportunity X is owned by User C Task 2 for Opportunity X is owned by User C Our problem is that we expected Task 1 to now be owned by User C (which it is), and for Task 2 to remain with User B (which it is NOT.) Is this functionality by design? Does the same thing happen for all objects (Leads, Accounts, etc.) in the system that are assigned to another user?     - Repost: Crystal License error - need help Does anyone know where the IWAM_<computer_name> account password is being used by Crystal Reports? In my case I am getting logon errors for this account in the event log every time I try to access the reports. I have installed MSCRM on a Small Business Server 2000 box and I have gotten just about everything working except for the reports. When I try to access the reports I get the error about not enough crystal licenses. I saw the section in the implementation guide about this error but it doesn't seem to apply since the SBS2K box is an AD DC. Looking at the event logs it looks like the primary issue is logging in the IWAM_<server_name> account. Where does Crystal store this password? Incidentally the CrystalAdmin application crashes and will not allow the password to be changed. What type of account is this talking about? Is it a domain user account, a sql account or what?     - Help | Contents | Find | Go button Search from CRM Web Client In short, I have been unable to perform a Help | Contents | Find | Go button search from the CRM web client until I added my domain account to the Administrators Group of the CRM server. It doesn't seem to make sense to me that all CRM users would have to be added to the Administrators Group of the CRM server. I'm assuming this issue could've been avoided during the initial installation of CRM, but I wasn't around when that took place.     - automated way to update the hyperlinks Is there some automated way to update the hyperlinks in all documents on our server there are 1200 of them. We tried to follow a link that I had changed in the a document and it wouldn't work until he actually went in the link, edited it, followed the file, and clicked ok. Of course, many of these are just references and not actual links but to do a manual update or at least figure out which files to prioritize seems a little overwhelming.     - Adding a field to the Case Form I am trying to customize the case form to match our business process for supporting customers. Our customers buy 5 hour support blocks from us and our billed in 30 minutes increments. I need to customize the Case form to show the minute balance, minutes used and minutes remaining. Here's what I have done so far: 1. Added a new section called Time On Case - Time Remaining. 2. Added a field called Minutes Used which has a Schema property of billedserviceunits and a minimum value of 30 and a maximum of 2,000. 3. Added a field called Minutes Left which has a Schema property of actualserviceunits and a minimum value of 0 and a maximum of 2,000. All of this works great, but the problem is I need to add another field called Minute Balance with a Schema property of remainingserviceunits with a minimum value of 0 and a maximum value of 300. This is field is not available and none of the other remaining fields will work. How can I add a field to the system or is there another better way to accomplish what I need?     - Access & BarCodes I am importing work order numbers from an access 2000 data base and use it to create a summary report. Those work order numbers are bar coded in the Access2k data base, using BC C39 NARROW. They print on paper as near as I can see correctly, but my barcode wedge will not read them.     - MSCRM Migration Framework Help I have used the MSCRM Migration Framework to import many Accounts and Contacts, but am not getting an error when trying to import Opportunities. When running the "microsoft.crm.datamigration.cdfmigrationtool.exe" program it successfully tests on the Accounts and Contacts but I get the following error on the Opportunity migration. "Processing Entity: Opportunity Entering Correlate Starting Migration Phase A SQL Server error has occurred Migration Phase Complete" I have double-checked the Opportunity Mapping many times but can not determine what is generating the SQL error.     - Assigning Sales People To Territories (Or, defining territories properly) Before migrating data into the CDF DB we're supposed to set up territories. Previously we had states and countries assigned to sales people. In order to duplicate that in MSCRM should I create a territories, one for each state? Or should I create three territories now (we only have 3 sales people) naming them something like territory 1, 2, & 3 and then assign the states or countries to each territory? When I tried that, I was not able to assign two different territories (two states) to one sales person putting the sales person's name in the manager field in the territory. Same with putting the sales person as a member. The sales person can't be a member of Alaska and Arizona territories. The help files mention that I can assign a territory to a sales person with a quota. Is this how I do it? The problem I see here is it asks me for a user but I can't choose any of the users I already created and if I re- create one of them, it informs me that there is already a duplicate record that exists.     - CRM Email stopped working We have had CRM installed for several months. Until recently, we were not using MS Exchange as our production email server. WE recently started using it, and suddenly our CRM services have no longer been able to send emails from either the WEb client interface, or the outlook client interface. We are also being prompted for a login each time we start a new email as if we are not logged into CRM or to our domain. We can simply click ok on this login box without providing any login information and still send email with no problems. We have checked the following: MailServerURL and PlatformURL on both crm and exchange servers. Users have correct permissions into domain and have been assigned appropriate licenses in CRM. Reinstalled Exchange connector service on Exchange server. Checked to see the Exchange server has IIS installed and Web services are running. Made sure both CRM and Exchange web services sites are running on port 80. HELP!! we have no other ideas since there is so little to configure with respect to this component. We do use ISA server as a firewall but do not believe it is related at all. One of the computer operators cannot get back in his computer because he forgot his password and did not write it down.
