If you click one of the scroll bar buttons the scroll bar does not move. Also clicks in the scroll bar track have no influence for the movement of the scroll bar. There are a possibility to set the SmallChange and the LargeChange properties (see ScrollBar-class). Any ideas to solve the problem? Thank you! And know I get some problems and I hope someone can help me :-). When I ad an Form and want to open the designer I get the errormessage "Baseclass System.Windows.Forms.Form could not be loaded" Whats wrong ? Compilation does work and even the Application on the PPC shows the form. What do I have to change ?     - DebugAsHighRes I've tried using the DebugAsHighRes that is reccommended to debug resolution aware applications. http://blogs.msdn.com/windowsmobile/archive/2004/04/03/107203.aspx It doesn't work for me. After debugging the macro and fixing a few strings, it does run if I start it from a keyboard shortcut in an editor window. It does start debugging, but it is not in HiRes mode. I can only get it to hires mode if I manually copy the dll to the machine. Not helpful because there is no "Attache to process" that I know of for The project is part of a solution with other projects. I don't know if that makes a difference or not. The write time changes, indicating the res2exe worked, but the write time changes again before debugging starts, indicating that visual studio felt inclined to build it again just in case.     - VS.NET 2003 does not deploy assemblies which are not referred to I am developing a .NET Compact application for smartphone device. In my solution, there is a couple of assemblies (projects) which are not referred to by main project either directly or indirectly at design time. They are loaded through reflection instead. When I select "Deploy Solution" form the "Build" menu, these assemblies are not deployed to the device since VS.NET thinks that they are not needed. How do I override this "smart" behavior of VS.NET and force it to deploy all assemblies in my solution? In Configuration Manager, all "Deploy" check boxes are checked, but it doesn't help.     - Getting error with Phone Edition Hi folks, We've just taken delivery of an Intermec 761 that is loaded with the 'Phone Edition' flavor of WM, and now when we run our app it raises an exception. I've traced it down to a call to a function in an external dll that we wrote to interface to the RAS api functions, the call giving the problem is one that deals with "RasEnumDevices". Do you think this is likely to be an Intermec specific issue or general "phone edition" issue? My problem is that when the user types something like "4.44" (or even "4,44"), the Value property is 0.     - Larger scale app development using CF Hello, From what I've seen most people using the CF are developing programs with only a few screens at most (I know the number of screens does not equate directly with how large or complex an application really is). Has anyone had any experience developing Pocket PC applications with the CF that had something like 100 screens/forms? If so, are there any tips or pearls of wisdom for working on such a project? My biggest concern is over form management and how it would impact the device memory. It's obvious that instantiating 100 forms and all the controls on those screens would use a rather large amount of memory. In my searching I came across several variations of the form stack example and I have looked over them. I have also looked over the Field Service demo app available at http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnppcgen/html/fieldservice_pocketpc.asp The field service demo groups screens together as a set of panels within a few forms and toggles between which panels are visible at any given time on the form. While no one example app addresses the issue of working with dozens of screens it seems that a hybrid of the various approaches would offer several benefits. Use the stack approach (possibly in conjunction with the Form.ShowDialog method) to enforce that screens be shown and used in the required order while using multiple panels in one form to organize sets of controls into "pages" and keep the number of entries in the devices list of "Running Applications" to a minimum.     - Type Load failure in Web Service Client A customer has reported a failure in calling a web service: Cound not load type System.Web.Services.Protocols.Soap HttpClientProtocol from assembly System.Web.Services, Version=1.0.5000.0, Culture= neutral PublicKeyToken=...... This sounds like when a dll is missing or misversioned. However, System.Web.Services is a CF dll that should be present, and this error does not happen all the time. It has happened at least once for the customer, and I have not yet been able to reproduce it. He is using CF V1 SP 2, I believe.     - Emulator has stopped launching application for Debug Hi All, When I try to debug my smart device application. The Pocket PC 2003 emulator starts up and connects. The Status Bar in the IDE has info like. Copying CarsPlusPPC.exe Deploying CarsPlusPPC.exe Copying sqlce.wce4.x86.cab Deploying sqlce.wce4.x86.cab (shows install on the emulator) Launching Application Ready Then Debug stops and emulator just displays the home screen, start menu etc... I can go into the File Explorer and Run my program on the emulator, but can't debug it. I have rebooted my PC Done a Hard Reset on the Emulator, but still no joy. The application is quite large 488kb Any Ideas, is there a limit on the size of app that can be run in debug mode ? The App is about 6 months old and has been working in a Wi Fi Network, but have added a SQL Server CE database for Offsite Inspections. My program changes need to be deployed by the end of the week.     - Problem: Drawing under a custom control Hi everyone, First of all, why am I having this problem... I need a REAL transparent label control. My custom label control needs to be able to be the child of any other control and must only display text, not a background image or color. So I created a control derived from System.Windows.Control, the problem is that the parent control doesn't draw under my custom control, probably because the parent thinks that the child will do it.     - Problem with creating a "smart" textbox. Hi, all. I am trying to extend a TextBox to select the text in it upon focusing it. I thought that it could be accomplished by simply attaching a GotFocus event handler, and then fiddle with SelectionStart and SelectionLength. I of course found out that this didn't work because the click event fires afterwards. The suggestion I found on the net were to use a timer, but I don't like timers for stuff like that. I therefore tried implementing this little class: public class SmartTextBox : TextBox { private bool m_newFocused; public SmartTextBox():base() { m_newFocused=false; this.Click += new EventHandler(SmartTextBox_Click); this.GotFocus +=new System.EventHandler(SmartTextBox_GotFocus); } private void SmartTextBox_GotFocus(object sender, System.EventArgs e) { this.m_newFocused=true; } private void SmartTextBox_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { if(this.m_newFocused) { this.m_newFocused=false; this.SelectionStart=0; this.SelectionLength=9999; } } } The code should raise a flag on GotFocus and then act on it when the Click event fires. Unfortunately the above code only works for the GotFocus event, but not for the Click event. I tried the same kind of code elsewhere, just creating the TextBox and attaching the events.     - Move files from Device to PC Just wondering if I can get some ideas of how I can transfer data from my scanner to the PC. Currently I scan barcodes, once the user is done the will push a button and will transfer all the data from a ListView onto a text file. After this I need the data put on a PC in order to do further processing. Questions: Can I do this with ActiveSync? I see how I can sync from PC to Device...but not the other way around. I know I could get the user to copy the file using Explore in Active sync...but I am trying to eliminate as many steps for the user as possible. If activesync is not the approach, is there a way that I can move the file(s) programmatically from the device to a directory on the PC. Just looking for ideas or best practices.     - Fix of constant installing of SDF 1.3 when deploying yet? Is there a fix for this problem yet? After installing SDF 1.3, it asks to install again twice everytime i deploy our application. Is it possible using any API calls to check the status of a bluetooth
virtual serial port without attempting to send data over it?

I have a Bluetooth port class and I would like to add an event for when it
goes out if range.
