Hi,
doesCF2.0 runtime replace the CF1.0 runtime files? or are they
separate? I'm trying to determine how much space CF2.0 takes up as
compared to CF1.0. On some device, it seems that some are unwilling to
install the CF2.0 runtime because of the space requirement...

It's a different set of files. You can't replaces files in ROM, so if the
device has 1.0 in rom, then it's a side-by-side.

so once a file like mscoree.dll is updated, the one installed by the
CF2.0 installtion will take presidence over the one that used to be
loaded in ROM? phyically they are two different dlls however?

No, they are two different runtime systems that can run side-by-side.

Simon.
